I'm awaiting for confirmation about your question on no getting RP after killing... hope to have it soon (I think there was a point in the game when you dont get anymore RP points, but need confirmation).
About the speed bug, keep the hope it can be solved with next update.

this issue will be solved in next update, since recently we found a memory leak in the game that was making the game to crash unexpectedly. This fix will also make the game run much smoother.

I would say earlier than 4 days if things go as expected :)

New 1.0.5.4 update is finally out! take a look at the most interesting additions:

-Optimized game start up to be about 50% faster
-Added new menu option to select a different character and world
-Added new ballistics physics. Currently only being used for the grenade launcher (trajectory helper soon to come!)
-Changed tar so that it catches on fire and turns into lava when it touches lava
-Added new data relics
-Added a scrollbar to the info popup GUI so you can now view past events
-Added keybind to F5 for manual save

Yes, when the game is loading, the screen freezes, but we are working on the technical solution for that. Try to wait 1 or 2 minutes while its loading without clicking on the screen, it should work well.
