well...I'm getting on here so I can look at all this cool stuff I found...
the games that I'd get mods for and look at stuff for are valve games, so if you see anything good for hl2 or whatever, just give me a note, k?
I know not many people will see this, if any, but anyone I link to this will.
Here is the first mod I am showing here, note that this is only the first of many:
Dear Esther is a compelling mod that can catch the eye of any gamer. It is a first-person exploration mod for Half-Life 2. The game is indeed a horror/story telling mod and, as I'm sure you already know, there is no combat. Yes this game will strike you with its ranging emotions with only its atmosphere and amazing scripting.
I myself have downloaded this mod, and let me just say that I got what I wanted. This game is everything that a person could want from a horror mod. Also I thought that if the developers tried to find some way to create combat, the project would be ruined...therefore, combat is not a problem here. My only problems with the mod are that your flashlight has an extremely loud click whenever you turn it on which can take you out of the moment. It also turns on or off your flashlight whenever you enter certain areas(note:the flashlight problems are just bugs that I have, I don't know if anyone else has them). Another problem is that the game has no sprint, this means that it will take a good bit of time to beat this mod. However, the sprint had to be disabled so that some awesome sound effects could be triggered without problems.
(The .5 was removed only due to the long walking, however this doesn't change how good the game is)
(This game has no combat and doesn't need it but I still needed to use this catagory--hints why I have a bonus on plot/story for not needing combat)
(The story in this mod is amazing...I can't go into this anymore, you'll have to play it)
--this mod scored 12.5/15
