Hey everyone, my name is James Macleod. I am currently studying games design in newport university and intend to post my work on this site as often as I can. I welcome and would really appreciate any constructive criticism. Please feel free to comment accordingly. (Old work as-well as new will be posted!)

Description

This is a Victorian park bin I created for one of my university projects. The project was based around creating 5 Victorian assets, so I decided to jam with the question and set out creating 5 park assets that originate from the Victorian period though set within a modern day park environment. To make the concepts for textures etc. a little more fun and interesting I decided that the scene would be set within the midst of a zombie pandemic.

The poly count is 748. These screenshots show the model with 2K texture maps, the bin looks fine with just 1k maps for use within game but as I’m submitting for university I wanted it to look that little bit better. The texture job was fairly rushed as i started to loose interest. (I have noticed the errors in this model, normal map issues etc and have now learned from my mistakes, will hopefully be avoiding waviness in future)
