I definitely enjoy the simplistic aesthetics.
The entire thing reminds me of CS:S/CS/TF2 custom maps that are platform jumper orientated. Deathrun, Surf, bunnyhop maps come to mind.
If you aren't familiar, you should look into these custom maps. Lots of montage-type videos on youtube, and TF2 is free if you wanna a hands-on try.
I hope that they might be a source of inspiration for exciting game mechanics or designs.
