... so genius"!
This is one of the comments I got for my art project today. There were a few more who liked my project really much, cool stuff. However, I didn't expect the others to do such great projects aswell. I was really astonished at how much effort they put into their projects too.
There were a few projects that were really interesting. That one guy made this project just huge in size (probably more than 2m²), others used some cool proportions you don't think of in the first place. Mine was one of the most innovative pieces aswell, as I've used glass and water and worked a lot with transparency. I expected my project to be more of an outcast in a positive way, but that really wasn't the case, because the other class members did a damn well job, aswell. Our teacher was really satisfied with the results.
Man, my room looks like a mess now. It has been like that before, but after working hardcore for more than 12 hours in 2 days on my project it looks like a bomb exploded here. I will clean that up in a few hours or in the evening, I really want my deserved sparetime now and just relax. The last two days and the week before that have been extremly stressful, so I might not go immediately back to concept art or that blog stuff. But it won't take too long, will just take a little break, maybe 1 or 2 days off.
By the way, I wanted to take some photos of my project, but didn't have a cam ready and now it's not set up, just stowaged in school. The projects are going to be presented at some summer festival, that's a good oppertunity to take some pictures of it.
It feels good to know that I can be really creative if I am under pressure, but what other chance would I've had? I didn't have the time to think too much, so I just had to improvise some stuff, that is simple and still very interesting, a good exercise. Also, I did a lot of brushwork, was good to get back to traditional painting, aswell. Wasn't something too crazy though, just some really simple illustrations.
