...as time consuming as I thought it was going to be. I just finished my art project and uploaded it to my gallery. The rules were quite strict and in the beginning I was already demotivated by them. Actually, I had some very cool landscape ideas in mind, but then I heard about all the rules the image must fulfill.
So, I just doodled around in class and finally I got an idea and talked about it with my father. After that, I realized that I can't get any further than the sketch I had due to the fact that I had a big lack of material. That was, again, quite demotivating. But, I transformed my idea in something else and finally found some really good material to start with.

The overall image is quite simple, but it took its time to realize it. There's quite a lot of photomanipulating in there and I spent a lot of time, figuring out how to place the lightbulbs. In the end, I did it more or less mathematically, instead of placing it by feeling, as I usually do it. It was a good practice and experience to see the rules of harmony applied on the image - and it's really working.

Hell yeah, that's a pretty long blog just about that one image :)

cheers.
