... back up again!

I bought a new graphics card yesterday and now everything is back to normal. I uploaded some practices and just little things, nothing too serious.
I'd like to show you some work I did in my art class, but I didn't have the chance to take photos of my work yet and it's way too big to scan it with my little scanner at home.

I think the art classes I'm taking at the moment are really helping me develope myself and my skills. We did everything in charcoal and I already told the teacher that I'm used to pencil and charcoal is really a new experience for me, because it's so raw and you can't draw any details with it, therefor having to focus on the most important things. Also, drawing from real life is really damn hard, for some reasons it's so much different from drawing from reference photos.

It feels like I could never ever draw something from real life properly with all proportions correct and stuff, but practice makes perfect. We will also have some nude drawing next time, that's going to be interesting. I never did that and I'm excited about how I am going to draw something that's moving once in a while.

At the moment I am thinking about a daily practice routine to get my foundation skills really high up. There will be a lot of real life drawings and rough work in the following weeks, I really want to focus on training my eyes to see proportions correctly and that requires a lot of training.

Are you interested in those practices, aswell? Shall I upload them in my gallery so you can see how I'm progressing or do you want finished pieces only? Please let me know in the comments!

stay tuned~

yes, upload those practices!
You could also start an online sketchbook on a site like conceptart.org...lots of helpfull artists over there and lot of community challenges.
ThereĀ“s also gnomon workshops, where you have the opportunity to win Tutorial-DVDs by participating in their montly challenges
...but you probably know these sites allready :)

Its nice to follow your progress, keep it up!

Thanks a lot for commenting, I will upload my tradtional practices a little more often then. I also thought about starting a sketchbook on conceptart.org again, too, but I didn't feel like really doing so yet, maybe in a few days.

Those challenges are really cool, but the skill-level is so damn high up, I probably wouldn't win something yet, hehe.

Hehe, sure, but at the moment I have so many other ideas I want to get down on traditional or digital paper, I really don't have time. It's actually so funny that I'm now practicing about 10 hours a day and still feel like not having enough time.
