So I have to wonder - does the Black Mesa complex have one of those "safety" segments for new hires?
You know the kind of thing where "safety is our concern" and "report any safety issues to the bored security staff..."
Because I gotta say, the first time I saw this, I was thinking geez, Gordon has a PH.D. and he's just blithely riding past...THAT.
I can see some greasy homer simpson type: "Yeah thats no big deal, that tank broke last year. We cant get the paper work signed to clean it up (because its illegal to transport that crap outside _anywhere_) so's we just started throwing leaky (very explosive) barrels in there too."
