Frankly, I don't know.
There are reported modifications of T-34 1941, that have some outer inventory boxes, but those were only issued to the right side, not both, like in the picture.
Judging by the visual appearance, it could be some radiators (extra cooling system), or some extra ventilation devices.
Anyway, I guess this is one of numerous unique field modifications, performed by tank crews throughout the entire war ;)
