Description

Mand'alor Jango Fett, who became a Mando'ad under the previous Mand'alor Jaster Mereel, created the Clone Army. It was speculated that he did so to have his revenge on the Jedi for what they did on Galidraan (specifically, they killed almost all of the Mandalorians under Jango's command, and paved the way for Jango himself to be enslaved). Regardless of why they were created, the flash training of the original Phase 1 Kamino-bred clones included a revised version of Vode An, a Mandalorian war hymn, and several Clone Commandos and ARC troopers decided to desert to Mandalore after the end of the Old Republic and the dawn of the Galactic Empire, where a former training sergeant known as Kal Skirata had set up a refuge for them.
