Yes it's optional. You'll need controllers to play multiplayer.

Unfortunately I don't have access to Gamepad's that aren't 360 ones so I haven't tried or tested it with them. Based on the framework we are using, an XInput extension to Love2D, I suspect that only 360 pads will work.

Give it a shot though and let me know if you can get anything working.

Can you provide a bit more detail about the system you are running it on? Do you have DirectX installed?

Well it was. I realised that there was a tiny error in one of the How to Play screens. So I updated it but now I have to wait for IndieDB to push authorise the new version.

Yes. It will only be local multiplayer.
