Ok thanks, I will try the log command again. The problem isn't there at the moment, and so far hasn't returned after that first time. Btw, how do you play normal FC on the net? When I enter through the multiplayer menu, there are never any servers on the list.

I tried 'log_verbosity = 8' in the console but no confirmation was given that anything had happened, other than something like, 'jack carver says: ..etc' Is that right? Also, could someone tell me how to play fcam over the internet? launching the fcam server tells me I need to create a profile. I'm not sure where to find fcam servers.

after reading over previous comments, I tried restarting the game in 32 bit( instead of my usual 64 bit), and the gun came back, and stayed when loading a few saves. I then restarted again in 64 bit, and the gun was there again, until I loaded my last save. It then was gone again, and stayed gone for any save I loaded.

I've been playing with FCAM and it's fantastic, so thanks first of all. I have one slight problem. I just started the 'steam' level, and all of a sudden I can't see my gun anymore, except when I zoom in for a more accurate shot. As soon as I release the button, it vanishes again. I can still shoot etc. but it's just not the same :( I tried loading up a previous save when everything was fine, but the gun still didn't appear .. Running FCAM 1.984 on Windows 7. Like I said, all was perfect up to this point. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

starting from a clean install of FC(patched to 1.4), should I install any other patches before this?

thanks for the help, i'll try again. Fcam 1.7 has been working for me fine, except today when I fired it up, my gun has disappeared, replaced by the crosshairs alone centre screen. I can see the gun only when I take close aim. It's slightly baffling, as nothing has been changed by me. Also, with regards to 1.8, I realised my pc asks me to install .NET framework 4. something when I try to run it from the desktop shortcut. If I run it from the mods menu in-game, there is no prompt for this, but it didn't work before anyway. I'll do this, and hopefully it works. Cheers!

Hi, I have tried 3 times now to run fcam 1.8. The first time, It ran, but I had no mouse control, and the directional buttons were moving me diagonally and seemed to be shifting their bindings also. Last two times, the game froze on the loading screen. Should 1.7 be installed first? It was for the last 2 times. I just bought farcry from gog dot com and it's patched to 1.4. Any advice is much appreciated.
