The Reckoning Third Stage

Mod review

>last update Dec 31 2017
>possibly dead for a year, not so sure, maybe maybe not?
Here is my personal very early game review of this game. I really like the game so far but two things stopped me dead in my tracks (no zombie pun intended)

1. I like the music, it's great, but only about half of it. I feel that half of the music captures the game's atmosphere wonderfully, but the other half of the music gives me a painful headache or feels like it doesn't fit in the game's theme at all.
I ended up going into the mod folders Music file and deleting most songs I felt didn't fit, or just gave me a headache. Most of the songs I deleted in my copy were really loud grungy heavy metal guitar music, and piano music that seems like it belonged in a totally different game.

This is a list of everything I left in because it felt both thematically a great fit for the game, and also sounded fun to listen to.
Ambient 1-6 were good .ogg and otherwise (just assume if the name is here, keep both versions regardless of file type) now to continue, Ambient battle 1-4, electros, inflamm, inflamm2, inflamm4, imflamm5, inflamma, int, sioum, sioum2, sioum3, tomydee, travel_khergit. Those were the songs I did NOT delete because I really liked them, they did not give me a headache, and they fit the game very well.

2. THE FONT. the font is THE STUFF OF NIGHTMARES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the font is painful and impossible to read! it gives me very painful headaches! I have tried everything from deleting FONT.DDS to deleting the font XML files or modifying lines inside them to no success. All I achieved was deleting all the text from the entire game or changing it all into some spam of random characters that appeared to be something similar, yet very different to chinese or some other random mix of characters I didn't recognize. I even tried copying the native fonts.dds file from native warband texture folder and renaming it to FONT.DDS and replacing the file in the mod to see if it would allow me to simply see vanilla warband font, but it gave the same random text symbol glitch.

So far, I have been stuck on this issue and I am unable to play the game because it is that irritating and painful for me to read that horrid font. I post this review with love, and hope that it will help the hopefully still alive mod grow and improve.

on another note, the characters hair in the character creator is nearly invisible at certain moments, and the sliders for the faces do not actually change anything, although the standard faces are actually fairly okay quality.

Does anyone know where the save game files are located in the mod folder?

If someone has a solution for me in the meanwhile so that I can change the font to something more basic and generic, please please please LET ME KNOW!
