Thanks for your help anyway, i installed all third party software came with the installer so i'll try uninstalling open AL to see if that works.

Does anyone here know how to open the game without using xp compatibility mode if you get crash on startup with MMDevAPI.dll error, because with it the game takes too long to quicksave or open menu. Some said the MMDevAPI error is an issue with Nvidia driver, but im using ATI card with latest driver.

Is there anyway to fix the crash on start-up with MMVDevAPI.dll error without using xp compatibility mode cause it makes the game pause too long when quicksave or open menu. I'm using ATI HD Radeon 7770 with the latest driver win 7 64 bit 4GB RAM, intel Core 2 Duo E6550 2.33Ghz

I got the same problem with quicksave and open menu but my game doesnt take that long to load, uncheck xp compatibility may help

The PDA contact doesn't crash anymore when i enter the game and load savegame the first time, but when i load a savegame again and open it, it'll crash

Even with patch 1.0013 the game still crashes when quickload after death or open PDA contact the second time, and the sky still flickers in Dx9 Dynamic lighting. Is this just me or anyone still get these problems after the patch ?

My game still crashes randomly when open contact in PDA and Quickload after death even after installed patch 1.30013, did you got these fixed with your patch?

Anyone know how to fix long pause time when quicksave or open menu when playing the game? I heard people who have the same problem solved it by install the game on non window hard drive, but i've already installed it on D drive, and C is my window drive,and i cannot start the game without using xp compatibility or run as administrator, without those 2 options, the game would crash on start-up or when loading. Any ideas?

When i play the game with directx 9 dynamic lighting, the sky becomes white and bright, and the sky texture with blue sky and cloud flickering every time i look up and down, anyone know how to fix this ?

Guys when i press esc ingame to open menu or F5 to quick save the game freeze for a really long time(about a minute or more) and then works normal, the next time it takes longer than the last,it's really annoying when i have to save frequently. Does anyone know how to deal with this?

I think it is if you have a computer good enough to handle it, i have to run the game in xp compatibility to avoid a start-up crash.

Is it just my computer or the game takes too long to access the menu from game and quicksave(about half a minute) ? Anyone else have this problem?
