So, if I can't enable the Mod in-game (causes crashes or other anomalies according to the instructions) I cannot have other Mods installed? I have Star Trek Armada III installed at present - do I have to uninstall that first before playing this?

Apologies, didn't see your previous post (it was 3am and no glasses in sight). This, however does not explain why on existing any game ("Exit to Menu", or whatever) the game ceases to function and crashes. Not "Sins"-related, nor rig-related. I have not seen this addressed in any other post.

I noticed while playing on "Highest" settings, as I'd normally play everything that after taking hold of 6 planets and having a fairly sizeable fleet that there was severe slowdown when zooming in to planetry level followed by a crash. The crash was particularly annoying as after several hours of playing, with no autosave I lost the lot. I'll try lowering the settings to "High" and save often....see if that works.
Strange, as I have a rather good rig (i7 900, GTX 560Ti, 8GB RAM etc).

One problem I've noticed is that after saving and attempting to return to the Main Menu the game crashes ("application has stopped responding" sort of thing). Other than that...fantastic Mod.

Okay, the modders say to put it into the Medieval directory, and Misterkill says to put it into the Kingdoms directory. Which one is it guys? Another thing. Does anyone know how to get rid of the stretched look that widescreen monitors get with a res of 1680x1050? Looks dreadful.

Okay, a noob question. I've played all "No Hope" versions, and then got Soviet Assault (with Patch 10).
Which version do I now use: 1.65 or 1.67? Is the latter purely if you want to play online, or can I use 1.67 just playing against bots (as I usually do)?
I don't really want to have two copies of the mod and if 1.65 is the better version for "bot play", can you please tell me. And please forgive my ignorance.

Used the Windows.Exe from Gameupdates, but the Mod won't run (unlike earlier versions). All patched up to 1.1, new profile (fresh install actually)....no run. A real puzzlement.

I have been looking forward to this game for 18 months, drooling over promo pics and info. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool Military History junkie. I read every book I can, and after doing this for over thirty years, my bookshelves are overflowing. The game is now getting monotonous. The bland colours, restricted maps and restrictive order of battle are all realistic enough, but they're getting boring. The WOW! factor has worn off. Skirmish mode is just a flag hunt with lots of dirt, dust and drab environments. The choice of Normandy was a poor one. The bulk of the Normandy Campaign was hedgerow fighting (sort of your vegtation version of house-to-house). It was a gruelling fight by all forces. Tanks were next to useless as their turrets couldn't traverse in the tight laneways, and the emphasis was on infantry tactics. Armoured engagements were few, fast and ultimately negated with the arrival of the P47's and Hawker Typhoons who decimated the German formations as they tried to reach the front. I'm getting really, reallly bored. This is, after all, a game. An expansion had better come out soon. This game seriously needs one.
