I would have to agree with you, Headhunter. Obama had some pretty decent ideas, he just didn't know how to implement them. That, and every single politician stood in his way to make sure that THEY got 500 times more pay than the average citizen >:( I hate my country's politics...
actually it wasnt only bushes thought. i think it started with clinton. later it was just getting worse. obama made the debt go higher by waisting to much money when he became president.

yeah, the polititians over here only know how to do 2 things:
1)Say that any idea that doesn't come from their political party is the worst idea ever
2)Run for re-election
If anyone in government does anything ELSE, they are generally considered unworthy of continuing to represent the people, and are basically sabotaged.

Well the national debt was 4 billion dollars with bush and now it is 14 billion. Now I might be wrong on the numbers but our country sucks now. IF America didn't send our money to China then that would help.

Ok, one thing you have to understand is that the US President is a figurehead with the powers of Veto and influence. If you want to understand why the US is in the current financial chaos that it is you need to look at the actions and makeup of the Congress at any given point in time. During Clinton's first term we saw the near collapse of the economic boom that Reagan had ushered in. Clinton's Presidency would look much like Obama or Carter's with the exception that in 1994 the people saw the disaster of Clinton's policies and elected a Conservative House and Senate essentially nullifying Clinton's power. The conservative Congress stayed in effect throughout trying times including the attacks on 9/11 and kept us strong. In 2007 the media succeeded in getting a majority Liberal Democrat Congress elected at which time our economy took a nose dive. Being halfway through W. Bush's second term this financial debacle resulted in further media demonization of Bush and along with it's playing up of Obama as a rock star, genius, superhero and God, got him elected in '08 which gave him an unchecked use of power and the result is what you see. Fortunately the people were awake enough to see what was happening and they split the Congress in the last mid terms which in all likelihood saved us from a Depression. I have every confidence that in November of 2012 we will see a Conservative President take over the White House, and it will not be a minute too soon.

My synopsis of Liberal vs. Conservative financial policy:
You have a credit card debt of $14,000, accrue further debt at an average of $500 per month and only have $3,000 per year in your budget after other bills to pay on the card. What do you do?
Liberal: Take out a home equity loan at an interest rate higher than the card to pay off the card debt and then increase spending in other areas to accommodate for the hardships of having to take on a second job to increase the household income including more creature comforts purchased on the card itself.
Conservative: Put a freeze on the card to ensure no more debt is accumulated, cut spending in other areas (especially non-essentials like cable TV, out to dinner budget, etc), bringing the average to pay on the card up to $4,000 and pay off the debt in 3.5 years.
Simplified? Yes, but you will find that it is historically quite accurate ;)
Well, I'm not that much into the finances of your country untill the end of the Bush administration. You make good points about this, but I still believe Obama is a healthy change for you. :P

Headhunter, Obama is only a devil worker who is trying everything he can to kill this country. Now he is intelligent since he can do anything he wants and he knows how to get by with anything. In fact my school's budget was cut by 60% this year because of our poor economy and O-Bomb-A. When we had bush, the unemployment rate was lower. Anyways I wish we had reagen back. Even though he was President before I was born, he was a good president. Well anyways the other guy running for president is Herman kaine.
