War is about politics, to disarm your enemy to enforce your will upon another. There has and always will be a justification for it, and the majority will believe it.

Nothing has to be moderately accurate, this is a mod for a game after all.

Extra sources, if you want pictures...Keep in mind that these are merely videos which I think can illustrate at least some of my opinions. Feel free to sift through to your heart's content. :-)

There needs to be a threat, no matter how fictitious or real it may be, inflated spending and inflated costs of weapons help make the military industrial complex boom with mountains of green, and they want to keep it that way because no one wants an empty wallet)

"So little pains do the vulgar take in the investigation of truth, accepting readily the first story that comes to hand." - Thucydides

[Thus, on one hand, Thucydides was the first to describe international relations as anarchic and immoral. The "Melian dialogue" best exemplifies Thucydides' view that interstate politics lack regulation and justice. In the "Melian dialogue," he wrote that, in interstate relations, "the strong do what they have the power to do and the weak accept what they have to accept." For him, international relations allow the mighty do as they please and forfce the weak to suffer as they must. On the other hand, Thucydides illustrated the Cold War phenomenon of "polarization" among states, resulting from their strategic interaction.]

In other words, "might makes right". Perceived human rights do not play an important role in geopolitics.

Now I am terribly sorry if I may offend, this is your mod after all. However, perhaps maybe there can be more of a geo-centric perception of the world rather than a single hemisphere perception of it? I'm sorry, however everyone has their own propaganda. Also, I think that maybe putting some real world logistics in there can be fine? American military units operate by gasoline, which burns faster and thus reduces their operational range than if they were using diesel engines. This may be the reason why the 1991 Operation Desert Storm was called off early? If M1 Abrams tanks were using diesel engines, their operational range would increase nearly 4x before needing to refuel.

These logistic bottlenecks continued to persist until the NATO evacuation scheduled for this year (which need to have the bulk of their supplies pass through CSTO countries who are allied with Russia because they do not have clearance to pass through Iran, Pakistan, India to resupply their forces). Coalition forces experienced difficulties during the 2003 re-invasion of Iraq, aside from supply bottlenecks they also encountered lots of rough terrain with few roads. Naturally, tracked vehicles could pass through the country side with their strategic mobility unchecked. However, one Mechanized Infantry Division experienced a slow down on their march to Baghdad, the division was largely equipped with Stryker Apcs, which operate on gasoline and wheeled chassis (based off of the Canadian LAV III "Kodiak" which in turn based their design off of the Swiss Mowag Piranha along with many Asian and European countries, such as the amphibious BTR 90. The Stryker is manufactured in Ontario, Canada under General Dynamics Canada and repackaged to US forces as "Stryker").
