Most of you may have realised the lack of updates lately and if you check the version history it says last update 2011.
Despite this, keep looking at their website which is listed on the right and they show you all the things being developed on a daily basis and its due for an update soon which will totally transform the game into something amazing!
Downloading L4D2 off steam again, purely to play and review this mod! Expect a mod review and some playthroughs on my channel and I'll post a link to it in the reviews section and here!
I'm sorry but because it is "another" block game, that doesn't make it a "rip off" at all. People enjoy the retro-ness of games like this so lets focus on the game at hand and not other similar games that it may have seemed to copy off.
Looks like a good game and for the price you can't go wrong really! I suggest adding a HD texture option aswell as options that Keozim suggested above.
