Having worked as a farmer and woodcutter for most of my life i became determined to do something that would leave my mark after i was gone. Since then i got back to studies, and i have now a master degree in Electrotecnical Engineering as well as a degree on Electromechanical Engineering. On my free time i like playing and so i became interested in creating my own games or, in the shorter term, modding games to get something closer to what i would like games to be.
A concept related with an improved repairing unit (better than builders but worse then mek boyz) consisting of grots. According to the warhammer 40k background i could find, they would be on vehicles as designated emergency repairs or stay with mek boyz and help them in their work.
Pretty much it uses its wrench as a melee weapon beside being a repair tool but i am not sure if it should be melee only (no pistol) or a more versatile unit with a pistol also. Either way the hammer would be displayed even if it was only when repairing just like builders.
Any thoughts?
Is the pistol and hammer randomised? If not, I recommend putting like a new hardpoint for either pistol or hamma! Give like a modifier that will assign a pistol to grot or hammer. Pistol = new ranged weapon while hamma further increases repair.

No they aren't randomized but with the current implementation the one in the first image would have the hammer at all times and the one on this image would have a pistol regularly and a hammer while repairing. I might give it a try to do what you suggested on the first comment but no guarantees.
