Having worked as a farmer and woodcutter for most of my life i became determined to do something that would leave my mark after i was gone. Since then i got back to studies, and i have now a master degree in Electrotecnical Engineering as well as a degree on Electromechanical Engineering. On my free time i like playing and so i became interested in creating my own games or, in the shorter term, modding games to get something closer to what i would like games to be.

well, for the moment it doesn't look related to the Inquisition apart from the hammer and the helmet. But i think it is more due to History (templar/inquisition relationship) than anything else

BUT

the Shield could be the center of all this model, after all it is the main object and focus the attention.
So, a good texturing could well add a very Inquisition feeling to this model.

a Bigger shoulder pad oposite side of the shiled, on the left one, would add a interesting mass balance to the model.

I could try a texturing on the shoulder pad and Armor chest, and legs. Something very ornate and not related to any Astartes chapter.
Same goes with the helmet, a big "I" would be better but i guess this cross is not to be taken lightly.

Any chance to add him a back-pole and banner, because this would be a good add-on to daisplay some iconography.

i'm watching this very closely :)as we are looking for another inquisitor character for Darkness Within.

BTW, have you another Male Inquisitor concept unit, which model can be kitbashed from existed (in community) parts? So it would be visually different from Relic's Inquisitor (vanilla DOW game) and IDH' Lord Inquisitor?

Depends on what you have in mind, a space marine like inquisitor perhaps? Or something lighter like a guard like inquisitor (less armour more mobility)?
There are some inquisition related assets around and texture work can provide a more inquisition feel to those objects that lack it.

Currently there are 3 inquisitor models around but all 3 stand out significantly in a crowd :D

Thanks for the feedback Jaguar Lord.

I know it doesn't look inquisition material right now but the objective is for it to look that way (don't know if i left that clear enough on the description).

Focusing on the shield was actually my intention but i had not thought about the bigger shoulder pad to balance the shield effect. That should certainly give it a different look.

"Same goes with the helmet, a big "I" would be better but i guess this cross is not to be taken lightly."
I was actually thinking of removing the helmet since the cross is in 3D and so cannot be modified by me currently. I was thinking of some unhelmeted heads with visual tracking systems or plane helmets that can be textured with an inquisition related theme.

From banners similar to the vanilla sergeant banner which changes according to your army banner to a banner with a specific texture, there should be some capability to get it some iconography.

an helmet-ed version and a bare-headed version would be very good addition to anything RPG and campaign game related...;)

if you want i can work on some inq design and concept for iconography and see what i can do about it.

the IG colonel is a good canditate for a inquisitor character basis too. (save this awfull cape collar that need to be removed !!)

Description

Today i was checking Black Templar models and a thought occurred to me that those sword brethen with large shields would likely give something similar to inquisition crusaders in terms of weapon loadouts and could be made to look less like astartes and more like servants of the inquisition.
Obviously they wouldn't look like the minis (especially since the shield and weapons are on different arms) and certainly not like the ones in Witch Hunters mod but still would have an inquisition decoration and objects.
First step was removing the large sized shoulder pads of the sword brethen and replace them with the smaller yet still fitting neophyte shoulder pads. Lets see if i can get it to look inquisition material or not.
