Having worked as a farmer and woodcutter for most of my life i became determined to do something that would leave my mark after i was gone. Since then i got back to studies, and i have now a master degree in Electrotecnical Engineering as well as a degree on Electromechanical Engineering. On my free time i like playing and so i became interested in creating my own games or, in the shorter term, modding games to get something closer to what i would like games to be.
So the previous concept worked but the flamer would only fire in the default direction (visually speaking) instead of firing to the actual target.
This images show a way to make the flames hit the right target visually but has a problem which consists of the flames having some noticeable beams indicating the transformation that allows it to do what it does. My question is: are those beams still better visually than a flamer firing to a different direction? I personnaly think having the beam is still better visually as that can be explain as being just lasgun beams being fired in the same direction.
You sir, are awesome.
Personally I prefer function over everything, so in this case I'd rather take flamers that can aim proper, if these beams are a must, then so be it.
When using the flamers on smaller ranges it doesn't seem to have those beams so pretty much what needs to be done is restricting the range to 10-15 instead of 25 and it should work ok (i hope).
Yeah while not completely gone a reduced range pretty much only has those beams visible some of the times a flamer starts firing at something relatively far. It is pretty much fuel not totaly consumed by the flames.
