Description

Ever since discovering the Tacitus, Kane's forces reaped the benefits of being the only ones to merge human and alien technology. The epitome of this was the Banshee and Wraith class of heavy aircraft. Only the most devout and skilled veterans were allowed to pilot these fighters, knowing that it was Kane's legacy that granted them superiority over every foe.

Then, the Scrin came. Seeing both the threat and potential in Nod's adaption of their technology, Scrin air forces soon began prioritizing this technological anomaly in almost every and all operations. What once was believed to be a sacred gift of power and a chariot to the heavens turned out to be a beacon of hell. Wraith squadrons were swarmed by entire fleets of aircraft which brutally mauled and destroyed them to gain combat data; usually, a single fighter was spared, only to be paralyzed by one of the Scrin's massive carriers. The unfortunate crew of this craft could then only observe in horror as around them, their aircraft was slowly ripped apart to allow scanning its internal component layer by layer, including the crew itself.

It was only 8 days after the first of these attacks that not only the Brotherhood but also GDI had to cope with the Scrin's newest technological advances. Probably by applying Nod's modifications of the alien technology to an existing space fighter design very similar to the one contained in the Tacitus, the Invaders created an as of yet unthinkable combat aircraft. Tailored to earth's atmospheric specifications, its speed and maneuverability are unmatched by every comparable human aircraft, while the Scrin's devastating weaponry allow this fighter sized craft to rival even heavy bombers in terms of firepower. Worse, the Scrin seem to continuously improve this new Scourge based on the data they gathered.
