Hi! I'm a recent graduate from Kendall College of Art and Design with a Bachelors in Fine Arts, Digital Illustration. I'm inspired by the works of creators like J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Robert E. Howard, Masamune Shirow, Gene Roddenberry, George Lucas and Akira Kurosawa. I hold a deep passion for artwork, video games, music and comics. My overall goal is to become established in the entertainment media industry as a concept artist for video gaming and movie development.
Well, college is over and done! Made it through with only a few bumps and bruises. Now it's off to the real world, right? So... where is it? The real world I mean.
So far it's been a flurry of sending out resume's, making contacts and showing portfolios however I've yet to land a job as a concept artist for a game development studio. I'm willing to pay my dues and work from the ground up. I just wish I could get a response from some of the studios I've applied at. ANyone know how to get that response? Any tips and tricks from those who have broken into the industry?
