Forget it. I just did a clean reinstall and it worked.
I recommend anyone having problems doing the same.

Hey, Wesp. I just downloaded the last version and started anew. To my surprise the game skips the intro (intro box unchecked) and leave me stuck in the alley right after the intro scene without Smiling Jack around.
Any thoughts on this?

P.S.: One of the reasons for me to download the new version is that the game crashed in downtown area in version 9.5 beta.
