Ah, I take it Kat is wearing her old Civil Protection uniform? Can't wait to see that!
I hope you found suitable vietnam-friendly dialogue for the soldiers. Men of Valor had some pretty tight US Infantry chatter that you could use, they shout "Charlie's on the rear!" or "**** EM UP!!" when the fighting got tense, there's probably a goldmine of usable audio files for the US soldiers if you can find a copy of the game.
Very impressive, can't wait to see more :)
Welp, this made my week!
So glad to see Dawn of the Dead is back on track!
This makes me right pleased.
Half-Life Revisioned is set to be one of the best HD overhauls ever made by the modding community! It's truly going above and beyond just a simple hi-res re-texture and model pack!
To answer you're question, I'd personally go for #1, important characters have lower quality mic's but I feel that's also part of the charm.
Mapping is a little boxy, but it makes me feel nostalgic for the initial blocky years that followed Half-Life's initial release, before Spirit of Half-Life and greater PC hardware convinced mappers to try and push GoldSrc to it's limits.
I'm looking forward to this!
Lore friendly, practical and ******* RAD.
This legit feels like something Valve would do if the rebels got their hands on such tech!
Splendid to hear! The original has a very special place in my heart, NE was a neat HD remake, but it made many changes that never sat well with me.
A few months, you say?
That's some fantastic news right there! I'll be looking forward to seeing what changes you have brought to the table! :)
Great detective work!
I look forward to seeing what you can do with this mod! :)
I'm astonished to see this still in development! Keep on trucking, guys!
An absolutely fantastic level with so many routes to take and such a vast attention to detail! I must have spent 3 hours just exploring this map! :)
That is a damn shame, and I was so looking forward to this back in the day :(
Oh well, thank you for sharing what you have made!
Wow, what a surprise to see an update! Can't wait to be fighting these dudes in Questionable Ethics :)
Holy ****, nice to hear a mod avoid disaster by backing up their files for a change! :D
Sad to hear that. Crytek went from openly supporting Mods to vehemently ignoring them with the Release of C2. Which is a shame, considering how much more weapon and enemy variety was present in that game.
I feel like it had something to do with the beta leak before the Release of Crysis 2, locking up the game so it would be more secure explains why the console commands were all but useless upon release.
Playing Black Mesa in 2012 honestly surprised me by how violent the combat was.
Manning a 50. CAL and then turning hordes of Vorts into ground beef or shotgunning a whole squad of HECU and then looking back at their bodies now sitting in pools of their own blood made the combat feel fresh and meaty during my many several playthroughs.
Will Operation Black Mesa have a similar feel in regards to the combat? Or are you going to try and make the gore even gooeyer? :)
Can't wait to see what you have in store for us :)
Huh, isn't this the Revolver from "Singularity"?
For those looking for the zz_ArabCityFinal.pak look here Mega.nz scroll down to the bottom for the file that is 110 MB.
Once downloaded, place the file into your crysis/game folder (where your objects, Zpatch1 PAK files are located.
I'm really digging the new colored HUD matching the Pulse Plugs in the AR2 Magazine. It's eye-catching, yet dull enough to match the atmosphere and theme. :)
Also, nice job keeping the AR2 LMG in the dark, guess it's meant to surprise us at a later date? ;)
Very interesting yet bittersweet, while you're new game looks fantastic at such an early stage in development I can't help but feel melancholic by the cancellation of Triage.
I remember seeing this on the day it first appeared on MODDB and was enthralled to see such chaos erupt in such a familiar setting. Hell, you even gave me a very early demo of the first level, which I'm still grateful for!
But alas, I suppose you learned quite a lot from this personal project, and I wish you best of luck on all your future endeavors! :)
Had a lot of fun playing this, nice to play in a setting not often seen in custom Crysis maps :)
Can't wait to give this a whirl :)
Wow, I recall the devs behind the first "Homefront" were inspired by Half-Life 2 (although I failed to see where most of the inspiration went...) and now it looks like you have been inspired by Homefront!
Everything looks top-notch! Considering the Americana setting, are you going to include American vehicles instead of the Soviet-Bloc beaters we've seen a plethora of times in previous half-life 2 mods? :)
Any progress since November?
Loving the close-quarters gameplay, and of course the Combine perspective. Feels like a genuine Combine Destiny 2!
Best of luck, dude! :)
Very fitting, given the name.
And yeah, I was stunned by the filesize for this when I first played it. I assumed it was filled with unused content, given that it was unfinished, yet I never knew there was that much crap lying around in the files themselves.
