Practically played every HL mod I could get my hands on, and that is by far one of the best brushwork tanks I have ever seen.
You should play Moddb.com for inspiration, that mod featured an astounding level of detailed brushwork vehicles and architecture you could draw inspiration from. (Can't remember if there was a tank in it though, however, the trucks were absolutely amazing)
Ah, it appears that I was trying to access the forums when they were remodeling it, it currently works again and looks spiffy too :)
"Mate, put your loin-cloth back on! We're in public!"
Very cool, I always figured there would be multiple species of bullsquid running around black mesa :>
Pfft, next thing you'll tell me there is no spoon...
But seriously, Pepsifan did a great job.
I take it the arrows are going to be in limited supply and the bow itself is going to require patience to use properly?
As much as Crysis 3 screwed up (That short-*** campaign is unforgivably shallow and forgettable), I did like the bow mechanics. Will the bow function in similar fashion? or will it be something new?
I can't access the forums, is anyone else having this issue?
Take all the time you need, Leon.
I wouldn't mind if we saw a release in March or even April if it meant to get the mod in as good working order as possible. :)
Hey, I was thinking about playing Underhell again, but before I started, I wanted to know if there was a little fix for a certain problem I experienced the first time.
I'm not exactly the stealthiest player, so most of my time spent crawling around in the darkness turned into a one-man war against the legions of the undead. However, the chaos inflicted heavy property damage that resulted in plenty of pc gibs lying around. (I also must admit I'm not exactly a marksman...)
However, with so many pieces laying around the map, new gibs would simply disappear when objects are destroyed, as it seems I had reached the max gib limit for objects in the map (Those keyboard and pc gibs are permanent, it seems. Unlike boxes or other destructible objects).
Is there a way to increase the gib count so pc's don't simply disappear when they are struck by gunfire rather than turn into gibs? Like through a console command I am unaware of?
Help would be appreciated, I look forward to playing through underhell again on hard :)
Fantastic job, I believe you just topped fakefactory's cinematic mod! :D
I could only imagine how much work went into all of this. I wonder how many hours it took to get to this stage. Probably best not to dwell on that :P
Wow, I can't believe it's been so long. I just remembered this today and was excited to hear that you have not only gotten those pesky graffiti's, but have also fixed the mod to run on the current SDK!
Can't wait for an update, MMmaster!
Hey, I just played your contribution to Ravenholmville. It was the best of the whole lot :D
How is development on Power Struggle coming along?
Splendid news! Thanks for the head up!
Damn, that looks impressive, too!
such a shame :(
Honestly surprising to see a Max Payne 2 mod sprout up, tracking :)
Hey, I heard on Planetphillip from a commenter that this is going to be released in 4 parts, is that true?
if so, would we see the first release in 2015? :)
Damn Spaik, so much work on Dark Energy, only to disappear... :(
VERY old Glock footage from the mod, back when it was still called "Blue Shift - Source" and then for a rather brief period "Barney's Tales".
Man, that brings me back to the glory days of HL2 modding...
Ah, I remember a very old demo release from years ago, I'm not sure if anyone has left your team in awhile but I remember lost stories being drastically different several years ago when it was once a mod (hell, I think they used a Niko Bellic model... or I'm just insane and I have a terrible memory).
I remember your first "unfinished" mod release very well, many people said you were biting off more then you could chew and criticized what you had created so far. Nice to see you are working hard on asset creation and building on what you have.
Many other 7-hour war mods have failed to even get half-way, I look forward to seeing more updates.
Keep on trucking :)
Sad to see DAV's foray into HL2 never really worked out.
Hell, there was supposed to be "Azure Stand", which would have been a sequel to both AS and POV and took place during the seven hour war.
Well, at the least, we have his original HL mods :)
I decided to give the second demo another whirl, but I've run into a strange bug where a good majority of the dead scientists are standing upright in poser mode. :/
I saw a play through here Youtube.com and he doesn't seem to be having my issue, nor have I seen anyone else mention it.
I've deleted the file and reinstalled it, fixing the gameinfo with the "}" trick and yet, it still persists.
Should I just wait until the full release?
Wow, this looks super!
Dumb question, but is this mod functional with the steam version?
huh, nice work. I hope something comes out of this :)
I'm still looking forward to this, I hope we get a little taste of something in the next year :)
Almost finished, and yet, never released. Hell, the mod page has been deleted :(
Alright, got it. Nice to see it done without the hassle of downloading all those files separately.
Going to be seeding for a bit due to my work going through an early January slowdown, because I'm just nice like that.
grab it while you can :)
I can't believe the day is finally coming. Having enjoyed all the demo releases, even the alpha from eons ago, I can't wait to see what you have in store for us.
Keep on trucking! And Merry Christmas!
Marvelous work, bud! :D
Awesome, I love how you are giving these rooms a sense of purpose :)
I was just thinking about F.E.A.R on the bus the other day, nice to see this is still alive and kicking :)
Well, this certainly brightened up my day.
Consider me stoked! :D
This is great to hear, glad to see another modder persevering :)
Nice to see the Nightwatch textures are being put to use after so many years.
Nightwatch may be long dead, but hey, at least we have Half-Life: Echoes :D
Nice to see the GMC Vandura is still finding work, speaking of which, there is one that has been parked behind a local bar I frequent since 1999. They use it as storage now because it's apparently cheaper to upkeep then a shed.
Regarding the mapping, it's not bad. You have a keen eye for details :)
Not at all, but perhaps if you could explain why you believe it looks odd, then people will take your opinion into consideration.
It's like a proper sequel to Max Payne 2, nice job :>
I've saw ideas pop up and disappear when Doom 3 first came out, you actually went the extra mile and released something.
Fantastic job, I wish you best of luck in the future :)
Incredible progress, keep it up :)
(At the very bottom)
It seems that the next update will allow us to use a command line parameter to prevent loading the HD pack. Whether this means we'll be able to use custom models again is unclear. Only time will tell.
Keep working on this and adding more tweaks, what you have is very good :)
It's phenomenal, a nice subtle mod that does just the right things to keep the Pacing, balance and atmosphere of Max Payne intact. :)
Fantastic! Nice to see this finally finished :)
Now to give it an obligatory spin :D
Top-notch quality, mate :)
Back from the dead and better then ever :D
Excellent attention to detail :>
Your quite determined :>
Love the semi-automatic Spas-12!
About time somebody got that right XD
The combat is nice and intense as well :)
Love the glock :)
Beautiful destruction :>
You guys are gods among men :D
Excellent work, and the old muscle car is a nice touch :)
The foreign modders always seem to bring about the best mods :D
The levels look fantastic!
Great work, can't wait to see this finished :>
You got yourself a watcher :>
You've got yourself a watcher :D
Great to see this back on track :D
I'm lovin that picket fence :D
Can't wait to play this :D
It's alright, helps liven up the scenery :3
These are the best Blood Decals I've ever seen! :D
Well this certainly came out of the blue :)
I absolutely love the detail here, I surely hope release is this year. :D
I played this before and I really hated how activating the console would crash the game. Plus, I had no idea what to do at times :C
While I did enjoy this in parts, the driving sections felt like it should have been taken on foot, the mapping was not built in those areas for driving very well. And you seemed to really give the player medkits at every turn, It seemed like you could have enough medkits to run from Half-life 1 all the way to half-life 2 episode 2 without loosing anything below 50 HP points.
You may want to create bigger spaces for driving and increase the difficulty, because it was a cakewalk.
But regardless of these bad traits, it was fun to play in many areas.
Such a tease ^.^
Oh my god! O_O
You can fight a rabid bear in Condemned 2 with a shotgun with one slug and a portable propane tank...
Wow, this looks great!
I would be interested in playing a demo :3
Hey thanx :)
No, it says its coming out April 4th :)
This was an excuse to play nightmare house again.
Even though you did just repackage the nightmare house again, it was refreshing playing through the game again and jumping at the scares. Especially with new and fresh weapons.
Props man :)
This had alot of potential.
It was great at the beginning, good design, great models, good action. Then it **** the bed on the second level.
The Ninilanth boss is WAY too hard! And I can't even save because It keeps crashing on the second level! Nothing seems too work on it and it moves way too damn fast! I even nocliped through the walls out of frustration hoping to kill it from above but it followed me through the walls!
Seriously, fix it. I really enjoyed it up until that moment. Atleast remove the stupid *** barnacle tongue on the boss from killing me in a matter of seconds. You have some good skills and I really want too finish this mod.
Excellent work! Just excellent!
This will make hacking and slashing and maybe occasionally shooting the **** out of the zombie horde even moar fun! I can't wait to play this, keep it up!
I'll give this a go when its released :)
Hope you keep to that deadline, if you manage to release it then, I'll give you an awesome win cookie, because not many people release things when they say they will.
And may I suggest getting some protection for future cases? I used McAfee for awhile but unfortunately it isn't compatible with Vista so Right now I'm using AVG, it works just the same.
There already was a postal mod for half-life 2, it's somewhere in the archives...
Nice textures :)
Great details :)
I've noticed that there are alot of good mods coming out in and around the holidays!
I just **** twenty bricks!!
Not too shabby!
This looks very nice!
Cool! I can't wait to play this! It looks fantastic!
Yay! another half-life 2 mod :D
Interesting, I remember playing this months ago after I got it off Planetphillip!
It was really good! and kinda funny :D
Wow, your progress is stunning!
