Man, that is just a sad shame, I've been watching it for years but I must admit it slipped my mind after 2013.

I can only imagine putting so much work into something, only for an update to grind it into the ground. It must have gutted you D:

But at least you still have the data, a power surge and a fried Hard Drive had killed plenty of mods before with nothing remaining. So that's one positive.

Practically played every HL mod I could get my hands on, and that is by far one of the best brushwork tanks I have ever seen.

You should play for inspiration, that mod featured an astounding level of detailed brushwork vehicles and architecture you could draw inspiration from. (Can't remember if there was a tank in it though, however, the trucks were absolutely amazing)

I take it the arrows are going to be in limited supply and the bow itself is going to require patience to use properly?

As much as Crysis 3 screwed up (That short-*** campaign is unforgivably shallow and forgettable), I did like the bow mechanics. Will the bow function in similar fashion? or will it be something new?

Hey, I was thinking about playing Underhell again, but before I started, I wanted to know if there was a little fix for a certain problem I experienced the first time.

I'm not exactly the stealthiest player, so most of my time spent crawling around in the darkness turned into a one-man war against the legions of the undead. However, the chaos inflicted heavy property damage that resulted in plenty of pc gibs lying around. (I also must admit I'm not exactly a marksman...)

However, with so many pieces laying around the map, new gibs would simply disappear when objects are destroyed, as it seems I had reached the max gib limit for objects in the map (Those keyboard and pc gibs are permanent, it seems. Unlike boxes or other destructible objects).

Is there a way to increase the gib count so pc's don't simply disappear when they are struck by gunfire rather than turn into gibs? Like through a console command I am unaware of?

Help would be appreciated, I look forward to playing through underhell again on hard :)

Ah, I remember a very old demo release from years ago, I'm not sure if anyone has left your team in awhile but I remember lost stories being drastically different several years ago when it was once a mod (hell, I think they used a Niko Bellic model... or I'm just insane and I have a terrible memory).

We used to have entire studios churn out games entirely based on destroying things. Now, it's all scripted :(

Taking down a building yourself in a game like "Mercenaries" is far more engaging then watching one fall on it's own accord in Call of Duty, even if it does look cool :/

Most apocalyptic movies or books with similar atmospheres go overboard with the foliage (Laughably so in the crappy tv show "Revolution" where Chicago is turned into a rain forest of some kind), you have a nice blend of the decrepit cityscape and reasonable overgrowth.

I also like the new textures for the van far in the back, to give it a more rundown appearance :)

It always kinda bugged me in Modern-Military shooters when the soldier has to throw away his holstered pistol for a shotgun, I always figured he could just sling his heavy weapon over his shoulder/his back and carry a second primary in his hands with the pistol still tucked away on his hip.

Regardless, this is looking damn cool. Keep up the great work, man :)

2 things first.

1. Acquiring the crowbar would be a bad start, as not many people would assume that part of the wall is interactive.

2. The lambda symbol should be on the floor rather then the wall, and should be partly ruined to signal it is destructible.

I rarely play any RPGS, and the ones I do play are always FPS's, such as Stalker and fallout 3. Not sure why, they just appeal to me. Probably because they are essentially in the same genre as my favorite videogame genre, the first person shooter variety.

But I feel that modding is much more important than gaming, as your creating art, art that can be very entertaining to the beholder, and I feel that that sort of art should have more attention then a grindtastic game like guild wars.

I applaud you for shelving guild wars though, that must have been hard, and it shows that you have great self control. It took awhile for my brother to realize that to overcome his WoW addiction :)

After many years of playing Half-life 2, I still like rampaging through a random mod, gunning down everyone in a mindless rage. But it doesn't hurt to try and be a little bit more defensive then offensive.

Throughout these mods I play, I come across assorted cars and trucks. Pushed to the sidelines after many years of misuse and lack of fuel, only to serve as a roadblock or cover from enemy fire. They rarely come into play in mods, usually as a smushing device for zombies and the only instance I've seen them actually driven was in the mod "Eye of the Storm". What am I getting at? Well...

Heres a scenario. Your entryway into a new area is blocked by debris, and the only way to get through quickly is to smash your way through. Thankfully, there is a truck nearby with rebels behind the wheel, who have rigged the truck with a bulldozer plate, ready to plow through the debris. But the problem is, their open to enemy fire and they didn't have much time to rig up too much armor. So, as the truck continues to plow through the road debris, you must draw the fire of the Combine to you, rather then the truck, by creating a scene and a hell of a lot of noise. Thankfully, there is plenty of cover, plenty of meaty Combine and plenty of things to smash and blow up in this street and adjoining buildings (Barrels, lights, electronics, even the walls with enough force) to bring the realization to the Combine that you are a much greater threat then the men in the truck, before they plow/push through all the debris, letting you get past.

You may want to fix some issues with this strange bug. Do some more thorough testing.

Interesting use of the FX engine, but the low def weapons feel out of place in such a well detailed enviroment.
