I just recalled your mod after making many comments back in 2011 and was surprised you released an Alpha.
For what it's worth, it's well madedespite it's rough edges (Spends a lot of time walking around without any action and lacks atmosphere) but I had a lot of fun with this!
I loved the city/town area's and the new enemies were pretty creepy, even though the new zombie is a bit of a bullet-sponge. Sadly just as I was really getting into the mod it ends abruptly :(
Regardless, it was a fun romp and I'm glad you decided to release Platoon! :)
Any news? It's been very quiet over here :(
What a surprise! Tracking this for sure!
An intact Moskvitch!?
And closely guarded by the Combine, must be the last working model in all of Combine-occupied Europe!
Eons ahead of the Jackhammer in terms of UNPH. Using this shotgun will be so damn satisfying!
8 years of hard well spent work, if you ask me. :)
I can't wait to finally give this a whirl!
I hope the reloading animation for the M203 has a satisfying CA-CHUNK sound effect :)
Lovin' this Carbine!
Can't help but feel the zombie is just trying to help you reload by smacking the casings out of the cylinder.
For the long-term, Yes, I do believe it is worth the time and effort. 10 years later, people would like to give your mods a shot, so having a fix would mean Coastline to Atmosphere or Strider Mountain can be playable once more without a thousand workarounds would be great to see :)
Looking forward to it! Not many COD2 Maps out there :)
You couldn't be bothered to include the damn WAD's to make sure it runs AND you couldn't be bothered to upload a screenshot of the map?
Yeah, I'll pass.
"The Real" was a Hodge-podge of idea's thrown into a tumble-dryer.
The guy who made it clearly had no idea how to balance gameplay, so even trying to fix his mistakes seems very slow and cumbersome.
Like George said, I've also run into bad lag while playing the main game but was relieved to see it stopped after one level.
However, I have a rather major problem.
I don't have any mission objectives when I hit Tab! The game still goes through with them due to scripting but my objective list is completely blank!
I thought I had some leftover New_objective LIB's interfering so I wiped them clean and re-validated my files through steam. I still cannot see my mission objectives even into level 3.
I mean, I've beaten the game many times so I know what to do, it's just annoying :/
Also, the shotgun has a rather small world-model and lacks a melee attack animation.
Fantastic work! THe whole project is a MASSIVE undertaking, but it's nice to see you delivering some high-quality models! :)
Give Barney a haircut, why don't you!?
Seeing this Moddb.com gave me a good chuckle but also got me a little excited to see some scientific ingenuity and initiative.
It reminded me of a scene in Black Mesa where a scientist informs Gordon that "Soldiers have a arrive and are coming to rescue us!" while standing next to a radio network the scientist assembled out of scrap and computer parts. I remember coming across that same scientist back in HL1 and I vividly remember asking aloud "How the HELL do you know that!?" without seeing any radio transmitter nearby to indicate how he came across the information.
So, I'm curious to know if we'll come across other instances of Security Teams or Scientists putting their skills and PHD's to good use by utilizing their surrounding environment to improve their chances of survival throughout Echoes.
This makes me right pleased ^^
Excellent news! Thanks for all the hard work! :)
Trusty Pack, while cool, also features very muddy textures both on world models and ingame wall and object textures. Not sure why they did that, they look horrible!
Hmm, is this the mod where the damned headcrabs were ************* bullet sponges that had to take four ******* shotgun shells to kill ontop of being instagibbers?
I'd love to see your remod of this. :)
Oooh, can't wait to see what gun fires the 2-Bore!
Interesting idea! Back when I got HL2 on the OG Xbox back in 2005 I always wanted to strut through the Water Hazard chapter on-foot without a helicopter on my *** :D
Seems pretty quiet, guess that's alright. Sure beats group drama :P
Oh man, I feel like those Headcrabs are going to give me a hell of a hard time. The way they danced around the electric volts in Office Complex sent a shiver up my spine.
Looks like a tall-order, hope you can manage with such a long list of chapters on your plate!
Regardless, I wish you best of luck! What I see so far is very promising!
You have any idea when you will be able to release the 1.1 English version?
While my opinion may be an unpopular one, I personally loved the advancement of technology in The New Order. It still felt like a Wolfenstein game to it's core.
Not to mention the new lore and secrets were a treat. MachineGames had an unbelievable eye for details in both TNO and TOB
I am stoked for The New Colossus and I can't wait to see what new enemies, weapons and lore the game will bring to the table!
This is great news! Nice to see you still continuing with patching Triptych!
And man, the premise for your next game sounds fantastic! I hope to see it on Steam soon!
Very cool, but not worth the time and effort. Even the loading screens for MP1 go so fast now I can barely catch a glimpse of the artwork.
