DJ_Freddy, can you please stop spamming the comments here? It's getting out of hand!
That's run by Phillip Marlowe!
Why are you uploading these old mods and claiming they are your own?
I laughed so hard my finger slipped and I hit negative karma. I feel bad now D:
Simply stoked for tomorrow. Glad I have the rest of the week off from work :D
Great to see this come back from hibernation ^^
Non-steam half-life? I'm not sure many people still have their aging HL CD's lying around, would you consider releasing a steam-friendly version?
Very cool, and nice to see this mod is still alive! :)
Can't wait to se what you have in store for us :D
I hope they lead to the surface :)
Man, that is just a sad shame, I've been watching it for years but I must admit it slipped my mind after 2013.
I can only imagine putting so much work into something, only for an update to grind it into the ground. It must have gutted you D:
But at least you still have the data, a power surge and a fried Hard Drive had killed plenty of mods before with nothing remaining. So that's one positive.
Best of luck in your future endeavors, Agent Kevin :)
Hey Xdiesp, you still planning on porting HL2 Substance over to the smod standalone? I read on the official substance page that you had intentions of doing so :)
Thanks for the upload, the original creator took it down from Gamebanana for some reason D:
Just hang in there, buddy. What you have done already surpasses whatever I could have dreamed to do in Source SDK. :)
Practically played every HL mod I could get my hands on, and that is by far one of the best brushwork tanks I have ever seen.
You should play Moddb.com for inspiration, that mod featured an astounding level of detailed brushwork vehicles and architecture you could draw inspiration from. (Can't remember if there was a tank in it though, however, the trucks were absolutely amazing)
Ah, it appears that I was trying to access the forums when they were remodeling it, it currently works again and looks spiffy too :)
"Mate, put your loin-cloth back on! We're in public!"
Very cool, I always figured there would be multiple species of bullsquid running around black mesa :>
Pfft, next thing you'll tell me there is no spoon...
But seriously, Pepsifan did a great job.
I take it the arrows are going to be in limited supply and the bow itself is going to require patience to use properly?
As much as Crysis 3 screwed up (That short-*** campaign is unforgivably shallow and forgettable), I did like the bow mechanics. Will the bow function in similar fashion? or will it be something new?
I can't access the forums, is anyone else having this issue?
Take all the time you need, Leon.
I wouldn't mind if we saw a release in March or even April if it meant to get the mod in as good working order as possible. :)
Hey, I was thinking about playing Underhell again, but before I started, I wanted to know if there was a little fix for a certain problem I experienced the first time.
I'm not exactly the stealthiest player, so most of my time spent crawling around in the darkness turned into a one-man war against the legions of the undead. However, the chaos inflicted heavy property damage that resulted in plenty of pc gibs lying around. (I also must admit I'm not exactly a marksman...)
However, with so many pieces laying around the map, new gibs would simply disappear when objects are destroyed, as it seems I had reached the max gib limit for objects in the map (Those keyboard and pc gibs are permanent, it seems. Unlike boxes or other destructible objects).
Is there a way to increase the gib count so pc's don't simply disappear when they are struck by gunfire rather than turn into gibs? Like through a console command I am unaware of?
Help would be appreciated, I look forward to playing through underhell again on hard :)
Fantastic job, I believe you just topped fakefactory's cinematic mod! :D
I could only imagine how much work went into all of this. I wonder how many hours it took to get to this stage. Probably best not to dwell on that :P
Wow, I can't believe it's been so long. I just remembered this today and was excited to hear that you have not only gotten those pesky graffiti's, but have also fixed the mod to run on the current SDK!
Can't wait for an update, MMmaster!
Hey, I just played your contribution to Ravenholmville. It was the best of the whole lot :D
How is development on Power Struggle coming along?
Splendid news! Thanks for the head up!
Damn, that looks impressive, too!
such a shame :(
Honestly surprising to see a Max Payne 2 mod sprout up, tracking :)
Hey, I heard on Planetphillip from a commenter that this is going to be released in 4 parts, is that true?
if so, would we see the first release in 2015? :)
Damn Spaik, so much work on Dark Energy, only to disappear... :(
VERY old Glock footage from the mod, back when it was still called "Blue Shift - Source" and then for a rather brief period "Barney's Tales".
Man, that brings me back to the glory days of HL2 modding...
Ah, I remember a very old demo release from years ago, I'm not sure if anyone has left your team in awhile but I remember lost stories being drastically different several years ago when it was once a mod (hell, I think they used a Niko Bellic model... or I'm just insane and I have a terrible memory).
I remember your first "unfinished" mod release very well, many people said you were biting off more then you could chew and criticized what you had created so far. Nice to see you are working hard on asset creation and building on what you have.
Many other 7-hour war mods have failed to even get half-way, I look forward to seeing more updates.
Keep on trucking :)
Awesome work. It makes me sad many games do not have features similar to this anymore.
We used to have entire studios churn out games entirely based on destroying things. Now, it's all scripted :(
Taking down a building yourself in a game like "Mercenaries" is far more engaging then watching one fall on it's own accord in Call of Duty, even if it does look cool :/
Fantastic work, Unbeholden. Without you, I wouldn't have such a massive HL1 mod library :D
This one in particular is my favorite,
Most apocalyptic movies or books with similar atmospheres go overboard with the foliage (Laughably so in the crappy tv show "Revolution" where Chicago is turned into a rain forest of some kind), you have a nice blend of the decrepit cityscape and reasonable overgrowth.
I also like the new textures for the van far in the back, to give it a more rundown appearance :)
Everything looks amazing, bud.
I look forward to seeing more from you :)
Love the style and the clothing, you got yourself a tracker :)
Oh no D:
I've been in situations where bathrooms like this felt like a godsend D:
Nice work regardless :)
That's good to hear. AM is a fantastic engine, but Xash3D is a little more stable IMO.
I hope not many resources are lost in the move, however.
Looks like Gargy's on a rampage, can't wait to see him tear **** up in the mod :)
Now this is a kickass sounding concept. You got yourself a tracker :)
Unbeholden, every mod you upload here on MODDB, you always include screenshots featuring custom weapons that mislead players into thinking they are featured in the mappack or mod from years ago you have given a second chance at the spotlight.
How about, for once, you include links to said weapons? I know you can't feature the custom assets without permission, but a link won't kill anybody.
Splendid work, can't wait to play this in June :)
Congrats! You've come a long way since your first release back in 2011 :)
Almost two years since last update, glad to see you haven't abandoned this :)
The HUD looks damn good, any plans for more a third weapon slot?
It always kinda bugged me in Modern-Military shooters when the soldier has to throw away his holstered pistol for a shotgun, I always figured he could just sling his heavy weapon over his shoulder/his back and carry a second primary in his hands with the pistol still tucked away on his hip.
Regardless, this is looking damn cool. Keep up the great work, man :)
Wonderful progress, my friend :)
Nice to see something saved from oblivion, nice save :)
Just wanted to say, your work got me into the Duke Nukem scene 15 years after my dad lost the original CD forever.
Thanks for all the fun, I'm still working my way through all these amazing Duke Nukem TC's :D
Superb design and atmosphere :)
Welp, that's terrifying. D:
Nice, I hope to see more :)
Thats a shame :(
Very nice job, the attention to detail was exquisite :)
Way to go above and beyond :)
Superb attention to detail, I look forward to the next release :D
I think I'm in love...
Excellent work, I've played the HD opposing force pack awhile ago (I think it was released in 06), and your pack surpasses it :D
Excellent work, I've been looking forward to this :D
Ah, It's a shame to see this go unfinished, but thanks for uploading what you have :)
Excellent work so far :)
Great textures, dude :)
The Russians never cease to amaze me :)
This mod just gets better and better :)
A good start, I hope to see more of this :)
Absolutely fantastic work :)
You know, those levels look familiar, I remember seeing a mod with the exact same battles way back in 2008... :/
Looks good so far, mate :)
I assume you'll procure some Community content to spice the room up a bit? :)
It looks good so far, but yes, the textures are surprisingly low def :/
How half-life 2 could have been.
I always dreamed of playing these levels in the way they were intended to, it finally looks like that dream will come true some day :D
Grim, yet stunning :)
This mod is progressing very quickly :)
Excellent job, hopefully we'll be able to play this soon enough.
I remember at least 2 other failed Uplink remakes that never saw the light of day here on Moddb :(
The wait was absolutely worth it :D
With the mess, it sorta resembles my room... if I earned 150'000 a year ^^
Best of luck, I hope you find some help so this mod can see the light of day :(
I wonder what would happen if I threw this wad of cash REALLY hard at the screen... D:
This, and many of the other screenshots are Valve Quality, simply top-notch!
Absolutely fantastic :)
Impressive work! :D
Nice reskin of the Gman, CJB :)
Yuri, they aren't fighting with us, if anything, your picking fights with them.
You can't fight with everybody who disagrees with you, and you certainly shouldn't make such a big deal of it.
Yuri, your missing the point. They have their right to preach their beliefs just as much as we do.

2 things first.
1. Acquiring the crowbar would be a bad start, as not many people would assume that part of the wall is interactive.
2. The lambda symbol should be on the floor rather then the wall, and should be partly ruined to signal it is destructible.
Other then that, it's a good start :>
I need to give this a try, it looks fun.
I just need to reinstall steam, reformatting your hard-drive has a few cons XD
This weekend doesn't look so gloomy after all :D
Speaking of which, I could really go for a Dr. Pepper right now :D
Excellent work, I hope to play this soon :)
Nice to know this epic mod got improved upon :>
Nice to see the conscripts!
Excellent reskin :)
I'm diggin the shadows here :)
Great work on the reskin :)
Great work, man :)
The rain really brings this scene to life :)
Wow indeed O_O
You got yourself a watcher :>
Interesting, so this won't share ammo with the glock?
Dang, I wish I had this build :)
But I suppose my XPS can hold up for a few more years :3
Congrats Urby, I'm looking forward to the next media release :D
I don't even know where to start, this is fantastic!
You've got yourself a tracker :>
Nice scenery :D
Can't wait, but like Aidas2 said, put more details in your mapping :>
And I bet this dude calls Rednecks uneducated morons... >.>
I thought Invasion 101 would be the only Half-life 1 mod taking place in the Half-life 2 universe. Nice to see another mod doing the same :3
This looks great, keep up the great work :D
Oh my god, YES :D
Well, I thought it was fun C:
There is always a copy available on Steam :>
Looks amazing :D
I loved this guy, he was a weapon and a great pet >:3
I always like a dedicated Modder.
I'll sit back and wait, because I REALLY liked the demo back in 2008 :)
I rarely play any RPGS, and the ones I do play are always FPS's, such as Stalker and fallout 3. Not sure why, they just appeal to me. Probably because they are essentially in the same genre as my favorite videogame genre, the first person shooter variety.
But I feel that modding is much more important than gaming, as your creating art, art that can be very entertaining to the beholder, and I feel that that sort of art should have more attention then a grindtastic game like guild wars.
I applaud you for shelving guild wars though, that must have been hard, and it shows that you have great self control. It took awhile for my brother to realize that to overcome his WoW addiction :)
Like the Mythbusters proved for a fact, it's better to end with a bang then end with a dud :D
I loved Life's End, I hope you put as much stuff into Times End as possible! And good luck!
Whats not to get?
What the crap is up with the gifs?
I'm hungry now... :D
Nice Cinematic Physics and great particle system guys! :D
I think I'll give this suggestion thing a go :)
After many years of playing Half-life 2, I still like rampaging through a random mod, gunning down everyone in a mindless rage. But it doesn't hurt to try and be a little bit more defensive then offensive.
Throughout these mods I play, I come across assorted cars and trucks. Pushed to the sidelines after many years of misuse and lack of fuel, only to serve as a roadblock or cover from enemy fire. They rarely come into play in mods, usually as a smushing device for zombies and the only instance I've seen them actually driven was in the mod "Eye of the Storm". What am I getting at? Well...
Heres a scenario. Your entryway into a new area is blocked by debris, and the only way to get through quickly is to smash your way through. Thankfully, there is a truck nearby with rebels behind the wheel, who have rigged the truck with a bulldozer plate, ready to plow through the debris. But the problem is, their open to enemy fire and they didn't have much time to rig up too much armor. So, as the truck continues to plow through the road debris, you must draw the fire of the Combine to you, rather then the truck, by creating a scene and a hell of a lot of noise. Thankfully, there is plenty of cover, plenty of meaty Combine and plenty of things to smash and blow up in this street and adjoining buildings (Barrels, lights, electronics, even the walls with enough force) to bring the realization to the Combine that you are a much greater threat then the men in the truck, before they plow/push through all the debris, letting you get past.
Thats my two cents ^^
Wow, awesome work!
Looks good, keep it up, I love Max Payne :)
Looks nice :)
But, will you use more "American" cars in your levels instead of the Eastern European vehicles?
Well, I suppose that's why you said "Work In Progress", there's always room for improvement!
OH HELL YEAH!!
I just finished playing the remake once again. Even after two years, that strange women in the bloody dress still creeps me out :)
Will be looking forward to this!
What does that mean, exactly? all I want is this strobe graphic glitch to go away. I don't think waiting 3 minutes would do anything. :/
You may want to fix some issues with this strange bug. Do some more thorough testing.
That look made me laugh :D
It's like "I see what your doing there..."
Oh man I would love to blast my way through that horde!
Anyway, If you wanted to make them scary, you may want to change their models...
Wow, Only saw a few half-life beta vids.
This will be very interesting!
That would have been epic if you kicked him into that pile of crap!
But still, this is great!
Wow, just wow. I can't wait to have another excuse to play such a timeless game once again.
The new additions will surely spice up the maps, thats for sure! I can't wait to play it!
Very good mapping, downloading!
Water ripples? Cool!
Really good introduction to the story!
This sounds interesting!
Great mapping skills!
Great atmosphere! I can't wait to play this with my friends!
Really good work! Short and sweet!
I hope a few more come out before the third game comes out!
Wow, just wow. The Russians are god when it comes to half-life mods :3
Gee, this looks like something from a back alley that the environmentalists forgot about. Good work!
Well, I just lost the game... >.>
Looks good, I'll be keeping my eye on this...
Huh, is this a standalone install, or is it a mod that can be slapped into your username folder in steam?
It doesn't even have a single hint of city 17 to it!
Looks ready to be skinned :3
An anime style mod? SWEET!!
Interesting use of the FX engine, but the low def weapons feel out of place in such a well detailed enviroment.
Keep it up, it was interesting and quite fun. You did a good job on the details.
Well if it isn't Spas12, I've always admired your handy work in mapping, especially considering your age.
Good luck! I can't wait to play it!
Nice messy scene! I loved the play through of the first nightmare house and the remake, can't wait to play this one!
Woah, this came right the flip out of nowhere! And it looks great!
This will be true horror! What'll make it so scary is that your guy is helpless and at the mercy of the monsters! Unlike fear where you just minigun your way through demons and ghosts (But it's still very fun)
Looking real good!
Hope it's released real soon!
Looking good guys!
Nice design, I'll look into this one.
Wow, these building and city shots are great!
This looks comfortable to say the least, the pipboy is a massive hunk of **** that must weigh at least 30 pounds!
Good work! And nice plates XD
Good work fellas! :)
Well we're both Roman Catholics, we just find Satanists morbidly interesting ^^
Oh Okay just asking. You know, my friend knows a few satanist's who are nicer then a few atheists he knows XD
Awesome gun :)
Thats good, but can the other women have something else besides high heels? Sorry to be all nitpicky but it seems unrealistic.
Great work! Can't wait to see some level design.
I like the enviroments! But you should probably fix the headcrab issue, I think theres a fix somewhere...
This looks better then comeplete maps, and its still WIP.
Good luck my dear friend. I've been waiting years for this, I hope it is released very soon :D
Looks awesome! This reallyu cheers me up knowing development has continued :D
Awesome work! Can't wait for a demo!
I remember playing this a while back. It was good.
Last time I checked, 911 jokes aren't funny.
I agree with long_shot
But otherwise, this looks awesome.
Wow, some of these models are incredible.
Wow, this is looking more badass after every update.
Wow, just wow. The demo you released a year ago still scares me. I can't wait to play this! It looks awesome!
I love it when people keep the Max Payne Community alive! Can't wait!
Well, too be honest, it looks better then some half-life mods out there. I've seen MUCH worse. But It's not doen yet, I'm still looking forward to playing the full version. :D
He's probably asking why the hand is holding the barrel like that.
Theres Like 6 black mesa mods in production now.
Black ops, Black mesa source, opposing force source, blueshift source, return to black mesa and this! :D
But it would be better if they DID NOT have firearms and were just regular zombies.
