Take all the time you need, bud :)
Cool. I remember playing a beta map for Crysis that started behind a very low-res cockpit. What did you have in mind for this sequence?
Ah, this is the room you meet Otis in Opposing Force!
The new .357 looks fierce, I'm also glad you went the low-def route. Awesome work!
I've had issues with custom assets on Crysis before. I would say go on the forums, but Crytek bulldozed most of the user-map forum posts.
I'd try to help by fiddling with the folders to find a workaround, but I've got a lot on my plate at the moment. I really wish I could though :(
Those boots sure didn't help that poor fella deal with the mud...
Nice use of older American vehicles. You going to use anymore of them? L4D has a small yet detailed collective of distinctive North American makes and models :)
I recently replayed Timeshift and by god, does it try hard to be like HL2.
Except unlike Timeshift, you actually succeeded in emulating the atmosphere and formula while still following through with some of your own idea's and concepts. Great job! :)
Wow! What a great surprise! I had a stressful day at work so it's great to come home to find out a great FC mod is still kicking ^^
The searchlights add a level of immersion considering the war going on. Almost like they are brief glimpses of hope dotting the dead skyline. Or, perhaps they are manned by the combine and have an insidious nature behind their operation, perhaps they are looking for you...
Nice work :)
LOVED the new weapons and models, they are leagues ahead of the clunky weapons in the original (Remember how Alex just shakes the MP5 until the mag just falls out?). I was quite astonished to see dismembered and mutilated bodies as well.
Also, was the final boss a Combine Advisor? I guess that makes sense in terms of the bizarre ending.
And the music? Great choice utilizing the HL2 soundtrack. Leagues ahead of that garbled low-quality crap they went with in the original.
All in all, I believe this is one of your best remods :)
Essentially it is a map-pack series. The first initial levels are crudely designed but the quality rises the further down the line.
Most levels feature infighting amongst aliens and Koreans.
Fantastic! I always had a place in my heart for EFtD :)
What do you have plans to remod next? Once College is done taking up all your free time, that is? :)
I quite liked this remod, the HD models used actually help with the immersion a bit. Like how the shotgun apparently has a casing jam, showing how the soldiers who previously used it ended up turning infected.
I also loved the new flavor text for the locked doors :)
You sound really happy with your current job, and I am stoked for Sandstorm. A singleplayer game using the same themes of the multiplayer component sounds awesome! Almost like that game Six Days in Fallujah Unseen64.net
Best of luck with your school, and that map for HL2DM looks fantastic :)
Anyone here ever tried getting blood stains out of carpet?
"I was just about to quit anyway!"
Haha, what a mess! :D
That poor MP5 D:
Such a well built office, it would be a shame if someone tossed a grenade in here ;)
Awesome! SiC2 was my favorite of the couple for sure, even if it was on the short side! :)
Maybe it would make more sense if she wore knee-high boots, since I wore boots like Alyx here last winter and they always got filled with snow when I so much as took one step in a shin-deep drift.
I was always curious to know what operating system the rebels used in HL2, and it makes me wonder if the combine had one of their own :D
Love those turbine engines :>
A damn shame, and I was so looking forward to playing this back in the day :(
Thankfully, you released what you have! Too many mods drop off the radar without so much as a little demo file of what could have been.
Thanks for sharing what you have made! And best of luck in your future endeavors!
Slow and steady wins the modding race :)
Cool beans. Can't believe how far this mod has come in terms of detail and level design :)
I'm starting to notice models from other source games. Nice, should help spice up the usual prop template :)
Looking forward to the re-release ^^
