Huh, so you are going for a cell-shaded art-style in the vain of TF2?
This has certainly peaked my interest in the mod :)
LOVED this, it's sudden release took me by surprise as well! I miss that delightful sensation from the modding scene!
Adored the stupid amount of detail in the maps, and the enemy placement kept me on my toes for the entire session.
Have to admit, the Scientists had some damn good taste in FPS's ;)
I can't remember any other mod being resurrected so late after it's last update.
This has certainly gotten my attention!
I'll give you props for actually featuring the weapons from the massacre, but nothing else. Despite the theme, the mapping from what I have seen so far looks so basic I would firmly believe you if you said this was originally released in 1999.
Not to mention the idea of shooting unnarmed NPC's isn't my idea of a challenge, but I reckon a challenge isn't the point, eh'?
Ah, it runs on Darkplaces! That can easily be mounted onto the steam version as well (With overlay and all that smooth jazz!)
I've been putting off playing Quake since 1996, so I am stoked for this mod.
I hope it features support for the expansions!
Really digging the acid-rain damage. Nice detail!
Congrats, man! I just reinstalled COD4 to play your latest releases and I'm looking forward to Rooftops 2 :D
Cool police varient!
I always thought it would have been nice to see derelict emergency/police/military relics hidden on the wayside through the canals or Highway 17. That's one of the few things FakeFactory did right.
Just learned about this mods existence today.
Man, biting off more then you could chew, but man, the levels they presented looked pretty damn good for 2003!
Would have been fantastic to see it release :(
While it is nice to see another Black Mesa themed addon-pack in development, these orange-mapped levels are still way to WIP to be shown off in the media section, I feel.
Try and get some scenes set up with textures and further work on the level geometry before uploading some teaser screens.
I'll keep waiting, bud, keep on trucking!
Something REAL UGLY passed through here...
I've seen folks try this before years ago, and I wish you the best in this project! :)
That's a damn shame :(
I feel like you need to take a break. You've been working so hard on all these projects in the lats year I think it's sapped a lot of energy out of you. I say take an extended break and rejuice those batteries.
Never met a soul. Even when I used to play on consoles, no one I knew or even talked to had inverted controls.
With new monsters, you could try playing it under Ketchup, a lite version of Brutal Doom.
This looks neat. tracking for sure!
I've always wondered what the hell that truck was.
My brother thinks it's an older Mercede's Bonnet truck from the late 50's but I can see why Bethesda went with the GMC COE for F3.
No matter, these Mack Truck's will serve the game well. Will they be destructible by any chance? I remember I got into some tight spots in NV and emptied a magazine into a parked car near the enemy only to realize it wasn't explodable D:
These are really cool, do you have any plans to continue working on these maps?
Oh my god, I'm so sorry to hear that.
Take as much time as you need :(
I remember Fallout 2 had stacks of mid 60's ford thunderbirds as junkpiles so I guess venturing into the 70's in terms of car design isn't too much of a departure.
No maps load on the steam version, most of the time due to missing sprites and the like.
A damn shame, I was looking forward to playing through what could have been :(
Still, thank you for releasing what you have made. I remember being so stoked for this in 2011. :)
BOOGAH BOOGAH BOOGAH!!
While they do spice up the scenery, these Mack trucks look like they are from the late 70's/early 80's and don't mesh well with the retro-50's atmosphere.
Hey Peter, it's nice to see this came back from being archived!
I still look forward to it! :)
Almost February, any closer to putting up the final touches in your Maps, Mr. Gnang? :)
It's been a long 6 years, I take it this is one is down for the count?
A shame if it is, looked like a truly unique HL1 mod... :(
I've downloaded it now, and it appears fine. Everything is there.
Try downloading it again, perhaps unpacking with 7ZIP would help if you didn't use it before.
Strange, I've gotten no complaints about that.
I'd give this a download to see for myself but I'm very close to my bandwidth cap this month. You sure you didn't lose your connection during the download?
You continue to amaze us with your incredible research.
Hope you are closer to a release since your last update :)
