I'm calling shenanigans on that warp line at the end. If that is true then everything becomes so confusing, no psychers, no daemons, and what about the web way, again, it's a matter of when and where, not just who. For a start do either factions know the other even exists? Would one suddenly appear for no reason? Say that the empire did arrive. Would it arrive in force? If so... Why? Would a small ship reach the 40k universe? If so then it would be obliterated by who knows what, depending on what it finds first. If it doesn't find anything then why would it stay in the first place?

If you take out the warp then basically you're making it unfair from the start. I mean what would happen to the emporor?

I enjoy nod the most to play but c&c3; is my favourite in the series and scrin are stupidly op. it's hard to deal with them, I go gdi if that's who I'm fighting... mammoth tank assembled

I couldnt agree more with the tau being difficult, but I don't just mean the imperium, the tau are surrounded by freaking massive armies!

Also idk if you play 40k (hope you do) but in the allies section at the back the imperiums only partially trusted races are themselves and eldar

If the empire were to get to the tau then all of the surrounding forces would descend and wipe them out. They wouldn't stand a chance. As for eldar, I'm no expert on them or the composition of the empires army, but I can't see them agreeing to serving the empire

To be fair the eldar are the only xenos that the imperium doesn't hate

Good luck with the empire even reaching the tau, as for the eldar, difficult one as I don't know much about them but they don't seem to be the kind of race that would agree with the ideals of the empire

My point earlier was similar to the one you're making, there are a LOT of races but who knows if they'd be fighting each other as much as the empire. We all know that the nids would not agree to some kind of truce to beat the empire. They kill every thing like it was the same... Yay, equality...

I'm a 40k player but saying something like "star wars would lose hands down" defeats the point of this whole conversation. Also have you even looked at all the other points that have been made? Look at the absolute beginning for one, the ship sizes. Even the imperium would have a hard time dealing with a ship that's over 17km long!

I think the tau would rather die than share so chances are the imperium would have to try to take the tech by force but even then, as small as the tau are, they are op as anything!

I hate to put a damper on things but one thing that we haven't taken into consideration is time... Who knows if, by the time they fight, maybe the eldar have finally shared their knowledge of the webway, if so... Empire may be screwed. Also what would happen with ALL of the other armies? Admittedly we marines don't get on well with xenos scum but what about the grey knights, the sisters of battle? And I would bet that the assassins would be put to good use by the imperium.
