Nah this is nothing to do with GMod. The problem was the uninstaller was removing everything in the sourcemods dir, instead of just the hl2as folder. It's fixed when you install the patch.

i removed the voices several betas ago - except it seems in as_invasion. to get rid of it just delete the sound/assault/vox folder. i'll make sure its gone for the next update

Nope, not dead by any means, I'm just a bit lousy when it comes to remembering to update the ModDB section :) There's plenty to see and do, just head over to the HL2: Assault forums where you'll findd all the latest info, mainly in the dev journals.
