For the models indeed they need to be somewhat low poly and can't be hollowed out in the middle due to bfme limitations

The Dunedain, they look handmade and the dunedain are forest people in my eyes therefore they used a lot of wood.

Yes it will include an auto-updater, Once you download it for the first time you will set for later releases (unless i update the actual launcher/auto updater)

The only one i had trouble deciding was Frodo, i think Dunedain will work because he meets Strider in LOTR. I plan on doing hobbit armor, but not until after the first release. Thank you for your activity though! :)
