Unlikely as it is not easy to do code wise. The campaign draws its team colours from a totally separate set of textures of which there is only one of per race. There may be a way to do it but not something that we'll probably think is worth the time to implement (if it is even possible)

The easy mod certainly does work. Many people are using it with zero issues. DE are not broken but can be a little annoying to play against with their morale breaking identity. You might just need to alter your playstyle a little.

It's usually posted in the article that accompanies new patches but we didn't do an article for the last release. The changelog is also in the game files (Dawn of War Soulstorm\The_Crucible_Mod_v2\Development_Files\Patch Notes)

I can start putting them in the download page though.

Can you use the game rule titles as displayed in the list please.

I have no idea what "massive battles" is. There is no "fortress option" (there is a "restrict: fortress defence" but that is marked as multiplayer only).

God knows what is going to happen when you use such a large amount of game rules though. If we were to make sure that all of these (legacy to Cruci) game rules work perfectly in all combinations, we'd need a year of solid work initially and every patch would take 2 or 3 times as long to make.

Everything is clearly explained in the installation tutorials, both in text format and video format (both for the ZIP and installer methods).

Most files in the files section are marked "archived", meaning that they are outdated. The only things not marked as such are the core files and most recent patch (and the easye mod submod for campaign)

So you just need the Core mod (v2.00), the most recent patch (v2.52) and the Tyranids mod (.5b3).

Like I said though, the exact process is clearly and extensively explained in the various installation tutorials.

As far as I know this has never been reported by anyone else. What game options are you selecting in the game creation lobby?

1) I want to go through the game at some point and fix all these tiny things. Probably after I rework IDH (which is something I want to start after the next patch releases).

2)Not on the radar at the moment but there have been some major Leman Russ changes made that I don't believe are live yet.

3) I'll go through all the SM Chapters at some point and work on increasing the differences and immersion.

4) IDH rework is, like I said, next on my list.

5) The issue with effects packs is we're not sure what they'll do to fps and stability. They usually involve better (but therefore bigger files) which can quickly tank performance. This is why were not thinking too much atm of doing this.

This isn't something we will ever add to the base game but I am toying with the idea of making it as an addon (via extra install). It will somewhat make a lot of the campaign trivial due to use balancing it against not having persistent bases. That said it is the most requested thing so it is something we're aware of.

We had to remove them because they were a major source of crashes sadly.

Getting there! Busy year for me and Oleg so things have been slower than we'd like. New patch is getting closer though and it's going to be a chunky one :)

Rushing will always be a major part of playing this game "well" as it is based on the req points. You have to expand aggressively to have enough of an economy to stand up to the enemy. There are things like decreasing game speed and income that can slow things down however.

The Necrons need a general rework anyway. Any changes to models will be made at this point.

No new factions. All new content is being added to the current races. Primarily via a faction system.

Do you mean co-op with another person? No. But we are mulling over something campaign based that would be "2v2" in another way.

We have a problem in that squads can either accept a leader or not. You can't choose which ones. This leads to the unfortunate mechanics where leaders that cannt jump can suddenly jump when added to a squad that can jump. Because of this, we decided as a general rule, to not allow jump squads to accept units.

Absolutely. Me and Oleg had a busy year with work but the development is very much still in full swing. The next patch is going to be rather huge :D

turtling isn't discouraged. Just don't expect turtling to feel optimal when playing campaign strongholds on higher difficulties. You need to remember that "turtling" can often mean that you're allowing the enemy to capture way more res points that you. It isn't us dissuading turtling, it is just the AI having way more resources than you and the AI having better build orders these days.

I doubt Cruci will ever be compatible with the GoG version of the game. Sadly they decided to **** with the files so it causes a lot of issues.

We haven't looked at the restrict files for a while so there might be a few of the new units missing from the restrict lists. That said, they should still be working for 80 to 90% of content.

Sounds like a bad install. Come to the discord server if you want some help with confirming a good install. Or install while watching one of our very detailed installation guides.
