my game has crashed when I was playing at home but not from my laptop and the only positive thing my laptop has over my PC is that it has a 64-bit windows and not a 32-bit like my PC your computer specs don't matter since well this is half-life if your computer is from the last decade it can play it just fine so it might be that I don't know it crashed for me around either wave 24 or level 24 I'm not sure maybe the game has leaks like Frozen throne on its modded maps where useless information would be saved by the game because of the special interactions and abilities added and they would build up so complicated maps that would go around 4 hours would start to lag horribly and eventually crash due to the game having too much info to process it had nothing to do with computer specs and it seems to be better on 64-bit so could be that

Even if the crossbow fully upgraded outdamages the Python the python still oneshots things and is easier ot use is what IM saying

Shame the minigun doesn't feel that much stronger then the SAW and with the shortage of ammo it gives you no reason to use salvage to upgrade it over any other weapon since you'll waste those 100 bullets in less than 2 waves.

Simply put the Crossbow,Sniper Rifle and Python have the exact same role they are heavy single target weapons, however the python beats both in ammo capacity,damage and fire rate.

Ok so I did some comparing and well uhm whats the point of using the crossbow it has a lower base damage then the python and the python doesn't have the projectile travel time of course that is negated if you aim down the scope but dodging and shooting while scoped is hard and disorienting not to mention that it removes your unique modifier.Speaking of the modifiers for a weapon that is suppose to be a hard hitting long range weapon it shouldn't really have lingering damage that can work on something that'll effect multiple enemies at the same time like a grenade maybe.

Also a suggestion for the shotgun is the unique for it being the shotgun having a clip instead of being loaded shell by shell I thought of it having a knockback but a gem exists for that.

legerity could increase reload speed it makes sense because at the moment its really not appealing because movement speed is negated from the long jump from the unusual shoes and jump height isn't really important for anything.

Also what is the chance of getting something from the Obscurity gem with no sorcery because I've been throwing bags for an entire hour and I've gotten nothing xD.

A really cool gem and useful would be like a gem that sends a shockwave dealing damage and knocking away all monsters around you maybe sorcery increasing its radius,precision increasing the damage or something.

PS: how do you get minigun ammo?

As I said the teleporters to be available inbetween waves so you cant use them during a wave I know that'd be bad during a wave its the reason the priced doors were removed.

Also I think we should've openned a thread for this or smth we are taking up the entire comment section xD

Yeah if the SAW was harder to obtain I guess it'd be more balanced it could drop from the Gargantua.

Yeah the turrets are way too easy to kill in later waves and they don't do as much damage maybe make them upgradeable past level 25 since you'll just waste money on ammo and the weapon chest to get salvage or maybe scaling a bit with your level.

I understand that the bags needed to be limited what Im saying is the limit to be seperate for different types of bags because as I said if you have 15 health bags you can't drop an ammo bag for example.

Also I havent seen a different gem from the generosity gem and the knockback gem I had like 6 knockback gems in my inventory which was amazing and sad at the same time.

Also have you ever found the gauss gun useful aside from being out of explosives and pantagruel spawning.

I had the idea of adding teleporters available inbetween waves since running from like the weapons box to lets say the devil takes a bunch of time I know invisibility exist but I thought it'd be time saving since portals already exist in half life it shouldn't be too hard to add in.

As for playing together sure although Im currently in a dorm since collage I'll be home thursday till sunday and I usually play during the night till morning I'm in the steam group nick is "Erito Yurei" don't think you can miss me there.

I mostly play provident since I don't feel like I don't have damage hell the SAW 1 shots anything with a headshot(thing that have a head anyway) although Rush is pretty cool going full rambo I prefer the turrets even tho they fall off late because even with the 3rd power that gives them stats they end up dealing about 180~ damage with like 2 shots per second and sometimes they are flat out inaccurate and miss 10 shots in a row or get sniped by troopers or grunts around corners mind you this is having 50 in precision and legerity but I still like em when playing solo and not using sarchels to instakill waves.

Yeah the SAW getting a buff isn't a good idea but it can work on the assault rifle its suppose to be a hard hitting gun and at the moment you have 0 reasons to pick it over the SAW.

The knife thing just seemed cool and thematic I haven't used it a lot to know its full potential as I said I play provident.

Speaking of provident I agree with the limit on bags but not being able to throw ammo bags because you have 15 health bags is kinda silly also if you throw a bag outside by acident thats a permenent -1 bag limit.

Satchels seem to have this bug where when you blow them up and quickly swap to another weapon next time you pull out the satchels you'll be stuck on the remote not being able to throw more for a bit and this actually got me killed xD.

And I had an idea for the grenades maybe make them upgradeable into different types like in team fortress classic there was a grenade that lifted up and started shooting everywhere ,cluster grenades,spikes that slow when you step on them etc.

I use all my points on precision plus using salvage to upgrade the SAWs damage makes you deal over 500 damage also aim for gargantuas mouth its like a headshot dealing bonus damage and with the crit from precision makes you have a lot of DPS

I think the shotgun should have a reload speed upgrade because later on its damage is still good enough but reloading like 10 bullets take way too long pretty much when you waste the clip you gotta swap to another weapon or you get overrun unlike the SMG,Assault Rife,SAW etc

Also Explosives are a bit too strong one satchel at any point kills anything instantly and Pantagruel dies from like 3 satchels kinda doesn't make him as threatening unless of course you aren't ready the RPG feels too slow for it and the Grenades feel useless as their time between throwing and exploding is too long I use satchels as grenades throwing them and exploding them mid air.
Tripmines are alright they work really well at later levels to help from being sandwiched from both sides.

Also why can you get grenades from the weapons chest but not satchels and trip mines not that I'd like to see them there because they aren't worth the 300$ but its fine because its a gamble I suppose.

Speaking of which the item chest feels useless I most of the time forget its there since if I remember correctly it gives medkits,manakits,AR Grenades which are good now with the update to explosives and EXP tomes I'm not sure if you've added anything new in the update to it maybe make some new consumables for it like temporary damage/movementspeed/firerate/reloadspeed etc boosts.

Also noticed that all of the automatic weapons don't have a unique upgrade(aside from the dual mac10s but it a damage aura not really a shot modifier like the python or the glock) I feel like the Assault Rifle or the SAW can have piercing shots it would suit them being hard hitting weapons also I think the Hellish Dagger that the Rushing class has could be really good if it had like 1-2 seconds of invulnerability after a kill so if you are fast enough you can go through an entire group of enemies that'd be cool.Maybe the SMG can shred armor I dunno just my suggestions if you ever look into that.

I managed to get a turret stuck in the door on complex and the door couldn't open it'd only go half way.

Also the SAW feels too strong I was killing everything in one shot dealing around 300 damage like 1 clip and the Gargantua was on 500~ hp

I feel like a high bloodbath should give Salvage because the only way to get a good amount of salvage is to keep buying guns from the box and recycling them.

Well I downloaded the new version decided to play it a bit.I got to wave 31-32 not sure the game crashed after I jumped down the elevator and picked up one of the boxes that drop from the Generous Power on the Providents turrets.

-Explosives are finally useful later on in the game although I miss stacking towers of Satchel Charges.
-The game actually seems kinda easier since I managed to have 47% damage resistance with about 5 toughness maybe it was the equipment I had.
-I still feel like damage stat (before whichever was the main stat now precision) is the best stat to up since with the damage upgrade from the Devil the assault rifle mowed down everything which felt very satisfying tho.
-Also the AI sorta confuses itself on the stairs on tomb mostly saw this happen to pit drones when they'd get to the second half of the stairs they would just turn around facing the wall and wont turn until I shoot them.
-And a panther leaped at a turret that was in front of the elevator on the second floor and destroyed it and got stuck in a houndeye and was half in the air.They kept making noises on repeat non stop.

The Wilhelm scream on death tho 10/10

Pantagruel hurts himself with the red shockwave thing he shoots out he had aggroed onto one of my turrets in the Gargantua room on Tomb but had stopped right after the barricade and just kept stomping and dealing damage to itself.

The Pythons reload animation and its reload time aren't the same as you can shoot to cancel the animation right as he inserts the bullets into the cylinder.

When shooting the crossbow without aiming with right click the number about how much damage it dealt is wrong as I've seen it say 60~ damage dealt but that shot killing a 200 hp Grunt I don't know if that's because it's an explosive or not.

Also was wondering if the Spore Launcher from Opposing Force would be added I really liked that gun.Hope I'm not getting annoying with how frequently I write comments.
Side note: The Hardest Track....nice one

Alright so me and a friend threw over 100 satchel charges at the Gargantua and it brought him down to 1k hp so I assume its because of a growing defense stat.

Also I think you should make the RPG a bit stronger at least later on because at one point while playing the RPG dealt around 100-150 damage to the Pantagruel and when it has 3000 hp 6 rockets deal around 800 damage to it which leaves 2200 and we ended up shooting him down with the blasters because you can't get to the RPG to buy ammo when something is shooting at you with dual miniguns. I saw that you might be working on upgrading weapons so that'll fix it.

Provident turrets can open gates if you stand right next to the door and place it outside.

What is the point of the pump-action mode for the shotgun there is no reason to use it. Maybe make it deal more damage.

Also maybe add a recycling system for items because sometimes you can waste 20k and not get anything worth it so having the ability to combine them into something that is guaranteed better would be nice. There is also an item called "Defenders amulet" that says it gives nothing heres a picture of it Puu.sh

Started working on the corrections got about half way through.I didn't really understand what you meant but I assume you want me to write down what I corrected and why since you said "learn from my mistakes".

Also a few more questions:
1.How do you get ammo for the grenade launcher? The demon doesn't sell it and I haven't seen it in the random items box like the AR grenades.
2.Why can the Assault Rifle,SAW,Provident turrets(haven't tested minigun and flamethrower) deal damage to the Gargantua but not the Pantagruel
3.The Provident turrets target the hornets from the alien grunts is that intentional? Also side note the turret kills don't count towards the task.

Hello I really love the mod its really fun but I have a few questions.
1.What does it means when it says "(Playername) has devoured a monsters soul".
2.What do the first two stats do when you increase them.
3.I planted about 30 satchel charges at the gargantua spawn but it left him on 1/3 of his hp then I planted 50 satchels but it left him on the same amount of hp is there a limit or something?

Also there are some mistakes when the Demon talks "How human can help here" should be "How can a human help here" there is more if you want I can look through all of them and correct them.
