I'm a M.Sc from the Computer Science department at Aalborg University in Denmark. I've studied game development at DADIU, as part of my specialization in games on my master's degree and specialized in HCI. Currently, I work as a Project Manager for TimePlan Software in Denmark. I dedicate a lot of my spare time to grow in this role, while I also do investments in my own company. I don't see myself working on game projects in the near future. I have been working on BZSmod since 2007 with level design, programming, and project management. BZSmod has been a great platform to learn and develop my skills related to software development. BZSmod was released with its development files in November 2022, and we support anyone who wants to fork the mod or bring fixes to BZSmod. I blog a bit on moddb when it is related to the mod or personal experience which I find useful for the game community. To read more about my study experience and other projects, see www.ringhauge.dk

Delayed

I have been quite delayed in all of my recent updates. Profiles, CV(undone) , facebook , Moddb, and a lot of other places which i probably have forgotten to use the last 5 months... facebook have only been 2 months, sadly...

The main problem... or opportunity so to say, is that i recently just have been performing a starter project and been adapting to the university.
For those who don't know why I mention project, it is because we are a university who focus on a practical learning curve rather than the theoretical ( which means that you read, come to lectures and go home ).
In Denmark, Aalborg university is one of the few, which provides a practical learning curve, and therefor we have to do projects while studying.

My main problem, is to compensate for all the matematical information, we have an exam by January, and it isn't exactly easy to understand the overall view and remember the details, when you have to read it all in English and need to read 30 - 40 pages per lesson instead of 10 - 20.

This ofcourse also takes it toll on the moding, I would love to sit and develop all day in a workgroup, but to do so in reality, a master degree would be required first.

Experience

As we started on C programming ( and I literally wasted 2 hours this morning ) I have become very glad that i read a Danish c++ book this summer, as well for coding c++ in the mod the last 3 months.
It isn't difficult to transform that into C, so all the basics is covered, which gives me more time for focusing on the math.

Well though it took 3 months to fix the analog jumping (which no tutorials covers, and isn't 100% covered the wavelenght... ) , which were "acceptably fixed" by the difference of velocity, required 2 lines and took me under 15 minutes to apply (remove old code, apply new).
I gained a lot of experience with c++, by playing around with classes, functions, stucts, pointers and fixing linking errors.
Some of that experience is also the reason, that i found the old code and were able to see that it is usefull, though it will need some editing.

Aswell have my experience also made it very easy and enjoyable for me to make c programs in the lessons; Currently my group will have to look into evil code (aka viruses) ... that is actually very interesting, we are debating some evil evil ways to infect computers, and hoping to find an exploit in some files which people believe to be safe, such as PDF's. Currently we know that it have been possible for java scripting to do a overbuffering of the system, resuslting in the evil code to take control.

Now, personally, if i found one, i might consider to release documentation on how to abuse it :P
