If we could just get a hotfix that makes it so units can target all vehicles and would actually attack them that'd be great...
Would you be cool with releasing that to the public? As a kinda demo for WC?
I realise you probably want to release something more substancial but why not release to current Youtube version of them mod?
From what DiplexHeated shows it seems like it's a massive improvement over the current version.
Need to add Orks ASAP but I'd say Necrons for the next. The imperium definitely need more things to shoot at.

So I've got a bug where a lot of units don't attack certain vehicles.
For example, no units will attack the SBDs except infantry and it's the same against ATAT's.
If I select a tank or cannon and tell it to attack one it turns to fire on it then as soon as it's aimed at it it'll turn and attack something else without firing.
Any idea how to fix this?
I'm in the process of converting stuff to Assault Squad at the moment since the coding is a little different to original MoW.
In the process of making a warthog now but it won't be finished for quite some time I doubt.
I'm no where near a demo version yet.
Progress has sort of stalled due to lack of a team and me not understanding how to make working vehicles yet.
Only because its a one man project at the moment. Once I get a team together it'll go much much quicker I assure you.
Quite a few other games that I'd like to make a Halo mod for already have them. The only alternative game I can think of is Company of Heroes really.
What I'm trying to accomplish by setting the game in Men of War is a new take on the Halo games. We'll see if I get any offers to join the team and if not I'll most likely swap to CoH.
New update, while small, should be out by about Tuesday.
As a side note, I'll be upgrading the mod to MoW: Assault Squad when I get round to buying it since it basically improves on the original Men of War in every way.
The mod is not dead. It's just that real life is taking priority.
Also, while the Marine helmet is done the body armour is taking a little longer to perfect unfortunately...

I've already finished modelling and texturing the Marine helmet just got to model the body armor and make a few adjustments to the Marine's initial skin before I'll release a new update.

Don't have the skills to make a campaign at the moment. I'll probably wait till Assault Squad comes out till I make a campaign.

I dable in modelling so I can provide you with some of my own models too but texturing is where my skills lie so it should work out great. :)
Thats the idea UltraElectroMagnetic. It'll be as true to the books as possible without breaking the game in terms of balance.
If you went souly on the books then one hit from a plasma pistol would melt a marine's body armour and one hit from a needler into skin and you'd be full of 100's of razor sharp pink shrapnel.
It wasn't Bungie who ordered the closure of Halogen, it was Microsoft because they didn't want Halogen's release to have an impact on Halo Wars. Now Halo Wars is out many mods don't need to live in fear of closure such as Halo: Covenant at War and so on.

The old one is alot better. Its more in line with how they were in the old War of the Worlds RTS as well as in alot of the art done for it.
I'm in the process of making one. Just attempting to get my head around the modding process and once that happens I should be all good to go
When this is out, this is going to be one of the best Men of War mods ever...

You silly goose, its been in the mod for ages...
1. This mod is for Red Orchestra, which was originally a mod for UT 2004 which got released on Steam as a full game. Thats why this mod for RO is on steam, because its one of the mods for RO which is good enough for it.
2. You have to drive that far because its ultra realism, thats why in RO you can and will die from one shot from a pistol or any other weapon for that matter unless shot in some obscure place like your hand or foot.
Also, some people, however strange it may be, find that ammount of realism fun. Also if you spawned too close the enemy would be able to spawn camp you from miles away. I suppose its ment to discourage spawn camping and up the realism.
