Well, it neither appears nor displays a prompt telling me that my stats have been increased. There is no texture nor any protection, but rather, the light clothes texture and stats seem to remain.

No armour seems to be working? I'm unsure how to solve this issue, a similar question was asked six years ago one one forum or another but the answer is, of course, no longer up to date.
