CTD when switching levels. Can't load section: xxx\yyy, where xxx\yyy has an invalid character in the path or name of the object. It's a different invalid character string every time.

The level could be loaded with a fresh save, but started crashing after about 3 hours of play. It's when switching from Dead City to Army Warehouses. I bought some level switch information from the trader in Dead City, after which the CTD started occuring on the autosave, or when switching back previous saves. Am really enjoying the mod other then this though.

It's probably not caused due to the translation, but there's so little English info for Last Day it's difficult finding the cause so I'm just asking here.

Been having some save game corruption after updating the translation. Is save game corruption more prevalent with the Last Day mod or could updating the translation cause it? Normal Call of Misery never seemed to have this problem for me, so I'm a bit lost as to why it's happening now.

I've tried going back savegames and such, had to restart. Any info would be welcome :) Thanks for the translation as well, Last Day seems like a cool expansion onto CoM.

I used the pre-packed CoM download instead of downloading CoC and CoM separately and installing it manually. If it starts corrupting again this will be the first thing I'll try changing.

Does anyone have any random enemy stalkers? I'll be in the Freedom base and two random guards want me dead real badly. Same for the ecologist base in Yantar. Don't get if it's intentional or not?

You can use the english files from the mod for normal Call of Chernobyl and paste them into the Call of Misery folder (gamedata/configs/text/eng/st_items_weapons.ltx). But all the Misery weapons and ammo will have no descriptions, only AO3 descriptions will work. Nobody has merged this yet, all of the stuff for CoM is in russian.

Actually there might be an AO3 mod for the actual Misery mod. Taking the st_items_weapons.ltx from that mod might also include the english translations for the misery weapons and ammo. I've not checked myself, just a thought.

It's for taking off weapon scopes. The Misery devs got a hard on for not being able to just use the standard system the game uses and decided it needed a special tool to take the scopes off. Not to put them on though, only off. And it has to be in the primary gun slot.

After doing a reinstall of your mod as the last addon, and only using the basic files the game stopped crashing. Not sure if it's stable yet, but there seem to be compatibility problems with the extra files from your mod.

Gonna test some more today ;)

Had severe crashes in several levels due to this mod. Not even a crash log, just an instant stack trace error on level load or during the first 5 minutes inside the level. After removing this mod my saves loaded again and there was no more crashing. I'm using 1.4.22 with AO3, OA, Autumnal Winds and DoctorX Questlines.

Smurths was always installed last to ensure it was correctly installed. Not sure what's causing it. Was it me doing something wrong? Or is there a compatibility error.

Really want to use this hud mod as it adds so much more to the game then that.

Removed most mods, made no difference, there's something really wrong here. Dead city/Army Warehouses/Limansk seem screwed somehow. Don't know about further north. But the game just CTDs with these dumb errors.

Yeah, made no difference at all. Game is broken. 1.4.12 was a lot more stable then this 1.4.22 patch. Crashes randomly on spawning stalker groups on Army warehouses-Dead City-Limansk, or gives a crash on loading and stops you from ever going to that map. All other maps work fine :)

Tried something else. Made a new game with the mod setup: AO3, OA, Autumnal Winds, Smurths, 4AM. Tried to teleport to Limansk, it crashed aswel. There's something up with the mod combo.

Would it be possible to only get the weapon damage part of your mod Massicio? I've reinstalled my game without your mod. Just to try to see if it will crash after playing for a few hours (corrupts the save so to say). I mainly use your mod for the excellent weapon damage, and it seems it can't be combined with Smurths without it ******* up.

Oh, I thought that fixed it, but it was just a random time where it decided it would work.

I guess you're right about the engine limitations. I don't get it though, I can load Truck Cemetary and run around. Limansk seems too taxing though even with graphics on minimal.

I love this game, but these bugs are killing me.

I tried reloading the Pripyat save. Worked fine suddenly. Then I tried Limansk again, still won't work.
It does repeat this every time I try to load Limansk:

Mainly the problem for me now is that the crashes are not random but can be reproduced for no apparent reason. It seems everytime it crashes it the last thing the log shows is the game spawning groups of either freedom or monolith. Not sure why. I just spent another 2 hours playing in Jupiter. But as soon as I went to Pripyat it crashed on loading (monolith spawning).

I'd restart with a fresh savegame but I'm not sure that will fix it as it might just return later :S

I've adjusted my installation order and the game seems stable now. It still crashed when loading in to Limansk but that might fix itself further down the line (or require a restart). I guess I messed the installation up.

The nimble thing btw, I've seen the problem before, somewhere in the MODdb forums or the official CoC forums. If I find the link I'll post it here. It had a semi-solution but I can't remember what it was, sorry :S

It shouldn't anymore, doesn't say it requires it anywhere. Tried a reinstall with your mod install order, still crashed when entering Limansk on my savegame.

New game teleport to Limansk works fine though. Really annoying :(

For your issue try unpacking 4AM and grabbing the files from gamedate/config/misc/trade and putting it in your game folder. That should fix the economy.

I'd rather not use that Dynamic hud mod, it's very different from Smurths addon. Is there a reason your mention the other hud mod? Autumnal Winds is only a texture pack isn't it?

Or is a problem with the misery mask overlay option file?

I use the same mods as you and I do have the correct economy values and weapons for roaming squads. It should work if you install 4AM and the compat patch last.

The strange thing is; I've played over 6 hours on this save already (done first lab and acquired the psy-protection helmet. Halfway it crashed on Army Warehouses, and now stops me dead in my tracks at Limansk. Right after I tried to accept the mercenary task at Dead city and the last crash happened.

This seems to be the issue. I've been trying to figure out the error all day and it happened at so much different points I was kinda lost.

Then I accepted a quest from the mercenaries which spawned a squad of them next to me. Instantly crashed the game with the same stack trace error (no fatal error).

Think I figured it out. There's something wrong with the spawning of stalker groups in the new patch.

The crashes happened so randomly I couldn't figure it out. But then I accepted a mercenaries task that spawned a group of them with me (as followers). It instantly crashed the game with the same stack trace error. Seemed to do it in Army Warehouses as well (shows spawning groups just before the crash).

So it's not 4AM compatibility. Sorry for the response chain ;)

Hey Massicio, thanks for the great mod. Though I do believe there is some kind of compatibility error between this mod and Smurths. I'll send you my logs, it started crashing on the Army Warehouses level, but stopped after sleeping a few days. Then I headed to Limansk and it crashes on level load.

1.4.22, with the mods; AO, OA, Autumnal Winds, 4AM, DrXQuestLines and Smurths Dynamic Hud.
