I'm not a particularly adept modder whatsoever so I'm very happy to see someone else taking the torch ahead! There's no real reason to require those niche toolkits for repairs and I'm glad you agreed! Very wonderful mod, I will be using this going forward in my Anomaly saves. Thank you so much!

Normally, to repair a weapon with spare parts, you have to not only get the parts in the first place, pay for the technician's vice to work on, but ALSO have a relevant repair kit. This all despite you having the tools to take the parts from other guns/outfits in the first place. This mod removes the repair kit requirement, so you still need the spare parts and you still need the bench, but as long as you have the parts you can do a repair.

Cheap, Google translated version:

I've been experiencing these error-less crashes as well. Do you think Boomsticks is the cause, or is there some other mod [or even vanilla Anomaly] that's causing this?

I was feeling the same way, but eventually I got a little sick of the idea that you need an entire toolkit to do the reverse of something you did to get the replacement parts in the first place [taking a gun apart].

That, and I noticed that I was just bruteforcing it to the mechanics anyways since it was SO much of a hassle to do my own repairs. Now I find I actually repair my own guns sometimes, although that is rather rare considering I don't get high quality parts very often.

Basically; If you have replacement parts on you, and access to a vice in the first place, you do NOT need a toolkit to replace parts.

You still need them, however, to put in your own upgrades, and they still stand to be useful as flat %+ repairs like any other repair item.

No dice for me, but I've not had the chance to test it solo so I'm gonna assume at this point it's one of my extra mods conflicting. I'll do some tinkering around for myself to see where I'm conflicting, and let you know if I get anywhere personally. Thanks!

Hey, just wanna put in that my AKS-74's don't seem to have working animations. The hands are all right but the gun itself doesn't move an inch, nor does the magazine. The AK-74s all work, as does everything else [at least what I've gotten around to], but the AKS-74 just doesn't.

Upon closer inspection, there's no wpn_aks74 folder in meshes/anomaly_weapons
It has a listing inside of hud_animation and hud_hands_animation, but it seems not to work anyways.
I don't know if the lack of a wpn_aks74 folder is intended or not, because if it is then the problem probably lies somewhere else. I'm still in the process of tinkering around with the .ltx files to see if I can fix it myself, or if it's some mod conflict

I doubt it's a mod conflict considering that I went and solo'd this one to be sure, but, it still could be.

Out of curiosity, would it be much trouble to reintroduce the psy field distortion effect? It may be low res but, I admit to liking it.

If there's something I can do myself to restore it, I'll take that too!

Would it be possible to create a variation of this where the edges outside of the viewing ports are completely blacked off? It's more restrictive but I personally like it more.

I appreciate the efforts to make the AI actually feel like the Hardcore Aim option is off. I think it went a little far though with the FOV changes, I think narrowing it was a good call but 75 FOV is silly blind IMO. The optical sight narrowing their FOV however I think is a nice touch.

The fire dispersion tweaks alone make the ai more bearable, and I'll probably keep them regardless. I think keeping the fire dispersion tweaks but reducing how nerfed their other senses are would be a worthwhile addition to this mod, if you were to ask me

Thank you! I appreciate the extra steps towards making the weapons more consistent in quality, and this fixes the XM-8's issues up for me just dandy!

Very nice! I'm using quite a few of these now, thanks!

Out of curiosity, for the minimalist hud part, is it possible to bring the Health and Stamina bars back? They look like they'd still slot in just fine under the dynamic news and I'd like to keep that information fairly readily available. That, or at least the stamina bar considering it's missing from the inventory.

That's awesome! If I may ask, will it be compatible with 1.4.22 stable? Or will this upcoming version of yours be 1.5 exclusive?

Hi there! If I may ask, would it be possible to replace the Player dot on the minimap with either the north-south arrows from the default CoC hud, or nothing? The grey dot that indicated player position at a glance looks pretty much identical to a dead body dot, and it does get rather confusing sometimes.
