actually I havent seen many people complain about this at all just a couple compared to the many many others who are excited about it. I personally like the change because it makes the ai way easier to program and thus indriectly will cause better AI
I am pretty sure the answer to this is no, sorry. I would be very surprised if it was a yes (at least for 4.0) as this would mean heaps of extra coding and delay the release even more. They may do it in a future release though
I would say yes and there is no fix that I know of so I cannot help you there. Remember this is an unofficial translation patch made with google translation. Your best bet is to either a) deal with it until 4.0 or b) uninstall the english patch and go back to german (if it really bothers you that much)
So I am sure many people are already aware of the english google translation patch available on the moddb site. For those of you that do not know about it here is the link:
this should tide over many people until the official translation comes out. This translation was not done by me so don't blame me for any problems you may encounter.
Heads up: The translation is okay and a lot of sentences don't make much sense but you can easily work it out.
If I am not mistaken Edain mod adds a lot of new audio that is not in the base games (IE characters talking from new heroes and units etc) so If someone were to commit themselves to this they would have to find all the English quotes from external sources to replace the audio. I think it will take far more than 4 hours
gnomi I think I have found a gliche with the necromancer/Sauron. Everything works fine when he is the necromancer IE. Mouth of sauron and nazgul get there abilities when necromancer is at the approrate level but when I get the ring BEFORE the necromancer turns to level 10 and he turns into a sauron level 8 the nazgul and mouth of sauron will not get there level 10 abilities even when sauron becomes level 10
Truly Epic! The only thing that has annoyed me about any of the Minas Tirith maps is the gate. The gate used by the Arnor fortress looks more apprate then a square gate.
The only way I can think that this can possibly function is if was like King Durin's rise. A building (the door of the night) is built and you can bring the ring to it and then summon him. But even then it does not really make sense and why would Sauron (or anyone) summon someone who would rule over him?
Gnomi I loved the isengard map. But I think it is a bit bugged for AI isengard. On brutal difficulty they don't appear to build much of any units. I saw only one uruk crossbowmen outside of isengard. Also some goblin caves and troll caves near the top right start position are friendly (Ie I can't attack them) and also many of the neut orcs throughout the field are unattackable
I like this idea. this is a good base improvement system for rohan ,gondor and dwarves I think. You would have to adjust it for other factions due to not having walls but other then that good idea
I believe they have already done this in that the evil factions can have bigger armies than the good factions. IE a bigger max population and lower unit pop cost for evil factions
Also it should be noted that not even the ents could put a dent into the black gate due to the nature of its construction and what it is constructed out of
And yet mordor came outside the gate and attacked the good forces in an open field battle.
They could have stayed in the gate with it closed and the good faction could not do anything about it but because mordor is an aggressive faction they came out of the gate.
Also what would have the good faction done if sauron disagreed? they did not have any siege equipment with them to take down the black gate?

As I am aware there is only one submod compaitable with 3.8.1 (i could be wrong. The hero submod. It can be found in the launcher

To answer you question about the english version there will be one for the next release of 4.0 scheduled sometime this year
I can imagine the real life reaction to this. "HA HA! We have the ring!............ now what?" Rohan soldier throws the ring behind him and walks on
yep can't wait for the 4.0 :)
The neut orcs and evil men scattered around the field. Some are attackable whilst others aren't

I don't see why they would remove it

Or do you mean even more than it currently is?
