thesnowpirate: if you don't like how this team is making this mod, do it yourself. They are going to release this for FREE so you really have no say in what they do. Just be content that this mod exists.

Yeah I've been following this since the first post on the SoaSE forums. It would be great if you guys followed the Reach Beta up with your beta. It would make for a great month ;)

Agreed. I think that the MACs and Archers are as canon as possible in this mod. Thanks for the hard work guys.

If you read the books, the archer missle pods are mounted on the sides of the unsc ships.

I'm not sure about that one. I havent tried galaxy forge since the update. I'm sure they'll release another version of galaxy forge to be compatible with the latest patch; they usually do.

"If you got the projectile to go fast enough, (about half the speed of light) and make it dense enough (eg use graphine the new hardest substance known to man) and you make the warhead a medium explosive (such as a futuristic version of ANFO) instead of a high explosive, you could crack open the planet... but only temporarily. Or if the planet didn't have a molten core, it would be a perminant crack, leaving the planet unstable but still colonizable." - cammanderWho

You would still have to attain that speed which is approx. 335,308,315 mph. We're still talking in speeds that will most likely never be achieved by any manmade object. Also, as you approach the speed of light, the lines between matter and energy start to blur so we are also no longer talking about a solid. The projectile would be somewhere between its original state and that of energy. As far as the explosive warhead: we're talking about a MAC, which is basically a ball of super-heated lead thus not containing any explosive at all. And finally, this isn't like we are rewriting the halopedia; we are simply discussing a mod for a game where the vanilla game has nothing to do with Halo, so I say we do what is best for the game mechanics and stick with the bombardments destroying the planets infastructure.

Well personally I have been following this mod since someone created a forum post titled "Halo Mod?" on the sins webpage so whats a couple extra months?

Understandable. However if I recall correctly, the leaders of this mod are planning on the UNSC ships sending pelicans down to the planet's surface to take a planet. This is both canon and scientifically accurate.

Just a question:
Are you also going to include the covenant supercarrier?
