First of all, grass shadows MUST be off.
MSAA and AA related filters are very hungry too.
r__geometry_lod 0.4 helps with FPS alot but makes distant trees look cartoon-ish.
Next step, a little extreme though:
r2_sun 0
This disables sun and gives huge FPS boost, it looks better than disabling all grass too. But you need to compensate lighting using
r2_sun_lumscale_hemi 0.7
or higher.
Disabling sun is good for the few levels which have worst performance (such as Cordon).
The devs should try doing something about sun light/shadow shaders. They aren't well optimised at all (maybe better than vanilla CoP but still not fast enough for such detailed levels).

Hello folks ! So... about me, I am interested in scripting and modeling (exactly games from Bohemia interactive such as Operation flashpoint, ArmA, ArmA 2). Also I like atmospheric games like Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl, Call of duty: Modern warfare and other interesting games like this. Nowadays I am student on Bussines Academy, so I haven't got lot of time for my interests, only at weekends.
