I Went to the Steam folder and I deleted the cfg folder and it still didnt work. Is there something wrong with my computer

I am pretty sure you have heard this many times and i am truly sorry, but i would like to know how to be able to play on a surver. Everytime I try to join a server it says Invalid Steam ID. I have Source 2007 as well. PLEASE HELP
