I have similar problem, but in my case it's just an annoying error message popping out, without actual crash. I wanted to do what you're suggesting and tried to copy that texture file, but I don't even have it in my normal warband(only palm_tree.dds and palm_tree_degraded.dds). Any ideas on how to deal with this?
