You are indeed able to edit things with the asset editor. Instead of having to code items or abilities, I took a hint from the Starcraft and Warcraft series and allowed for parameterized items/spells/units. As long as you have purchased Baneforge and have made an account to log into the game, it knows to use the assets in the file called 'myAssetBook' in you game folder. Without logging in, the game only uses the default asset book that ships with the game (which I add more things to with each release!) Also, you were right about the store- it was still in test mode at that time. Now, it has been completely activated.
Thanks! I have had a ton of fun playing with my friends on multiple occasions. Every time we play together, they give me awesome ideas and tweaks and I code them in on my second monitor as we are playing, haha. Check out 0.82, the combat is a bit more streamlined! I still want to add more items and spells, but that just takes time and careful planning in the Asset Editor.
