as for the HDR-recompiled maps, this will not solve it. This problem only affects SOME maps, though.

hello. I posted this way back but it has disappeared into the comments.
To fix the mod, all you have to do is go to the smod folder, which should be within /sourcemods/. You should find a file called gameinfo.txt, open this file, and replace the number 220 with 215.

This is because it by default loads from half life 2 (SteamAppID 220), although valve updated half life 2 to run on the new engine. the SteamAppID 215 specifies the engine itself, rather than the game.

@Prastarod i had the same problem, but i have managed to fix it by going into the game info, and changing the "steamappid" from 220 to 215.
