A kukri is no machete in my book... it is machete-like, but it is no machete. Regardless of what you define it as, it needs some work with proportions, either that is a monster grip or a tiny blade.

Very impressive, I was never a fan of 1.0, but this looks much better. Great work, keep it up.
This stuff looks great, I love the minimap. The pistol seems a little small to me, but it looks great. Keep up the good work, I can't wait to play this.
Awesome work you guys, really looking forward to playing this... if i could only find my ut disks.
I have a feeling that if any of you were in the position of garry, you would not turn down free money. Mods are built out of a love for modding, mods are intended to be free, and thats what garry intended too. He didnt make the mod with the desire to get money for it, but after it got so successful thats just where it went. I think that Valve (or any other game company) selling your product is the ultimate level of success for a mod, not only is it released, but it is so good and so successful that the company is willing to sell it. Like others have been saying, if you put hours and hours of work into a mod like garry did, and it ended up being this successful then you deserve the money. Personally I wont be purchasing it because I dont feel it is worth the money, I never had fun with garry's mod. The thing is, lots of people do have fun with it. So instead of blaming garry for making an incredibly good and popular mod, I say we all congratulate him for his awesome work.
I think you guys need to get over the fact that the models are just reskinned. They MODed the existing model and skin, hence it is a MOD after all. Every mod just takes the existing source code and changes it, its no different than taking the existing models/skins and changing them. People just love to complain. Great work on the mod.
it actually reminds you of n64 because it looks so bad...
its getting better but it still doesnt look like a garand. The texture looks cartoony and not detailed or real, the clip casing isnt correct, the guard around the trigger is enormous and it needs more detail.
uh aydhsyh anshshahahsd alkousdao c,laslal,dsawlal;s
Very nice, this is a really good looking model. Some of the metal rivets may be better off being a texture rather than being modeled, but it looks good regardless.
Impressive work, If this is reflective of the skill and dedication used in all the maps then this mod is going to be awesome. Excellent work Johnny Phive.
Awesome work you guys, it looks a lot like COD2 but i like it.
It's about time, I have been waiting forever. This mod is going to rock, great work guys you should be proud.
wow, that is a really great model, keep up the good work guys, I want to see more quality work like that.
Playability is concern number one. Games can have too much realism, and then they become less fun and all about the realism. There will be a good deal of realism however. This game isn't going to be like counter-strike we intend to have a reasonably realistic game. We will incorporate a communication system that without a radio, or without being in speaking range of other players does not allow you to communicate with them. I will make sure all the problems I have with counter-strike are non-existent in the mod. That will include adding iron sights, having to lead your target, and sniper rifles that are actually difficult to use. But in the end the game will stress teamwork, we are working on a complicated system that forces people to work together, and if you try to be a one man army rambo both you and your team will suffer. As for the future era, slinkey pretty much covered it all, we will be using todays experimental weapons as well as possibly some original weapon designs we come up with. As for your comment will it be like a "future that is possible to exist," anything is possible to exist, but yes most of everything we use is already in development by the army now, so that almost guarantees that it will exist. Most if not all of the weapons for out future era will fire bullets, not some advanced plasma or anything like that.
Also if you have a skill to contribute and would like to join the mod team just send myself, or bmxslinkey a PM and we will get back to you.
too dark, or perfect? thats right. The entire map cant be perfectly lit for your convenience, there needs to be contrast in the map. Some dark areas, some light areas, not to mention it all comes down to the mappers decision. The only other thing i have to say is that this map is looking awesome, cant wait for a release of the mod. keep up the good work slinkey!
we lost our coder, and havent been able to get a new one, so no one is doing any new work, im not even sure if the mod is still alive anymore, im sorry to say it guys but this mod may be dead due to a lack of a coder.... but if any of you would code for us im sure we would get back to work...
yes since we lost our coder things went downhill and nobody seems to be doing any work
we need a new coder... our other one got bad grades and cant use the computer so we are in desperate need of a coder..... we could also use another weapon modeler, a weapon skinner, and finally someone to make sprite so help the cause
you could have left the name at black hawk down without there being a problem just to let you guys know..... but im sure you dont want to change it back now, but the term "black hawk down" is a military term not something copyrighted by the makers of the movie so they can't stop you from using the term, and also if it's for a game that is free and wont be making a profit then most companies will let you use the name.
the brushes need a lot of work... you should fix the lack of symmetry (the brush to the left of the carpet is smaller than the brush on the right side... so the "ribs" on the left reach the end, while the ribs on the right dont), lastly it appears you used the carve tool without knowledge of how it works... and lastly textures need allignment. This is not bad, and I really like the idea, but it needs some fixes.
