Errrr... I send a comment before... but it seems to have gotten lost in the infinity of the warp known as internet...
I am playing version 1.5 at the moment, without the fix (because the website doesn't let me download it, whatever I do). I try to play my campaign but I cannot get past the second turn ...

Then came the close combat.
I carefully had aligned my heavy halbediers in a strong line, making them the anvil for the incoming impact. I also had two further units of crossbowmen who continuetly fired at the taures. Two units of Spearmen, put into a shieldwall would be the pillars on the left and right of my main regiments (halbediers) with enough space between the halbediers and the spearman for both my Greatswords and Knights of the Blazing Sun (Bodyguard) to break through and crush the weak points of the enemy.
Last; I had a unit of spearmen as rearguard/reinforcements if need be.
The minotaures made a head on attack against the forest of metal blades and were quickly surrounded by my halbediers. Soon followed the rest of the beastmen army.
Eventually I saw that whilst I had lost 10% of my army, the beastmen had already lost 60% of their army. This is excluding the Minotaures of course, who had lost not a single combatant at this point.
Soon after, my Knights managed to slay the leader of the beastmen army, causing the rest of the fiendish mutants to cry out in wallow and turn heel and run.
There was of course, one exception to the rule.
The Minotaures were seemingly unimpressed by the fact that they were battleing, solely, a whole army of men.
Soon, my army was pilling in on the minotaures and wave after wave of men branded against them. Yet not a single Minotaure had died.
This was going on for quite a while.
When the beastmen routed the score was 15% - 85%
When my whole army had to pile onto the minotaures the score was 29%-90%
By the time I got frustrated and simply turned off my game, the score was 74% - 90%.
Yes, that is right, during the whole battle, not a single minotaure was slain.

@Greek_Hoplite
I would like to respectfully disagree with you on the point of the Minotaures being weakened. I battled a band of beastmen recently.
While the Beastmen had mainly Gors, Ungors and Bestigors in their army (given that is all they can have =P) they did also have one unit of minotaures.
Having no artillery and limited heavy cavalery and infantery (Imperium) I decided to attempt to weaken the minotaures as good as possible before they could reach my lines.
Sending to full units of crossbowmen to sweep before my army and lay a crossfire on the minotaures.
By the time both units had used up all their ammunition, guess how many taures had died? Correct: 0

Hey guys, I was hoping that one of you could help me.
I installed COW (1.5) and it is running really well with no problems.
That is, until I get to the campaign, which just creates a critical error after every turn I play (aswell as corrupting my COW files).
I know that the 1.5 fix no.1 (which is shown above) is there to fix it.
Yet I cannot download the fix. It leads me to a side where I should download it from... just that it doesn't let me do it. There is no message like :"Sorry, we removed this file!" ... just nothing is happening...
Is it not a free download, or is there a possiblity to get it for free? Anyone care to help... please?
