its because way back maybe two years now, they were ~too~ agressive. late fights took forever, like they do in eve, and a lot of people complained and got it nerfed in the mod. that was the last devs though iirc. I would agree and like to see more agressive, but, for sure with some balancing not as op like last time.

change your game version in steam to [182] mods

The game was updated by Ironclad and it ruined most mods: this one is no exception. :p if that does not fix it let me know and I will try and help further.

the beta testers to that update have already discussed it and it's being taken care of: rn we are just waiting on an update from the new dev(s)

afaik yes, but the new dev has already done more work on it in a few days/weeks(?) than I have seen in a long while so it's cool. the beta for caldari is great, logi back and actually working instead of watching their entier fleet die, and a solid tech tree as well among various other things.

When will the new update release for the new Sins update? The mod currently is not even playable :/

They are unable to make any money or donations for this lest it be considered 'profit' by CCP and than the mod would be shut down :/

on a side note: mod needs updated like stat, last Sins update broke it and the planets are bugged not giving accurate buffs or anything that they should be.

The update is fantastic. The new Starbase feature is really cool and helps a ton but seems a bit OP...not impossible, but when fighting on unfair or cruel is near impossible to take down. The hostiles DO build caps and what not, but I noticed while playing my last map, they rarely showed in combat yet had over THIRTY carriers/supers/dreads in their cap system just sitting there passive which kind of sucked as it limited combat. But they are better with running sub caps primarily which is nice.

I feel like the logi is a bit broken now? granted it was OP before but now even if there are capitals on the verge of death they still chose to rep a frigate at full armor/shield et when there is a titan or super approaching the final seconds which is frustrating when micromanaging a few hundred units. Aside that it seems really fluid. Sansha seems a bit weak even at their best though and slowly trickle a fleet in to a system which is easily dispatched by even the smallest of guns.

The Rev however... being a shield based super in an mod of which (I know it is still being worked on) only hosts armor based ships seems like lost potential and not setup properly to be used as easily as the others. aside that it is fantastic. keep up the good work will try and find more in later matches and orient to numbers if possible but yeah.

Have to say, I love the update. Have not done too much in the game yet though, full testing will start in a few rounds I am sure.

The only thing I have noticed from the get go is: Sansha pirate raids even on their max difficulty for threat seem almost half assed. I mean their base is a literal fortress but their raids seem mid game at best? It may also have been the amount I was producing (20 small assembly arrays on that planet) as I was able to pump out entire fleets rather fast.

But again, have not looked into specifics too much just yet. :) but keep up the good work!

Livestream/youtube links? Also, why is it you feel the need to rub it in our face, me thinks you're a sadist. I jest of course and I really look forward to losing many hours arguably days to this mod upon the new release. PLEASE however, keep us updated. unless you really are a sadist. ._.

glad to hear progress has been made, looking forward to spending many hours in the mod messing around and brutally slaying countless ships. Any major changes to the combat stats to certain ships or anything?

I have used the forge tool, you just cannot presently add modules/ships et al to the map but you can design the map all the same. I have a few personal maps I really enjoy on it.

I doubt we will see any or at least any major progress until after the holidays are over, understandably so too. They came back in a big way, go the release out just bad timing with the timeline but hey, that happens. hopefully caldari next though :D

Just finished an 8 player FFA on various difficulties, from easy to cruel. After almost 9 hours of game-play and a multitude of fights that were enjoyable. from short skirmishes of a few battleships and misc, to titan vs titan. One of wich had four different factions titans in. The fights were great and there were a total of 200 planets, 100 per star with 2 stars. the only issue is, nobody spawned on the second star. so I tried a few other games and each time when multiple stars are involved, the ai will all spawn on one star.

I have also noticed that when below hard difficulty no matter their orientation they will never agress on your planets due to lack of income so when looking for better games (imo) anything under hard is not worthwhile playing against unless trying a new strategy or running tests.

I have been running Celestis as well with the recent matches to try out the electronic warfare part of the mod. They seem to spread targets nicely but their range seems a bit short considering in game when I run them I have a lock range of over 90km and possible activation of roughly 100 give or take. so they seem to be lacking range but that is it. Will e running amarr tests again over the weekend.

any updates on the mod?

do you guys intend on doing t3 cruisers and if so how would you intend on implementing them with the various mechanics of them?

I have not setup a steam group for it, and have not heard of one, but I have played some games with others from this mod. a group might not be a bad idea.

the tristan is the hull, in the game it is the t2 stealth bomber, or supposed to be.

you can have more than one titan. I have peaked at 25-30 personally as when I go up against 15-20 of them plus other caps it is just so damned slow. but you can in fact, have multiple titans.

Was playing a match. with a mate. 2v1 (unfair AI) and was pretty solid. around 30 minutes in they had started to agress on a planet where a fight would take place for almost two hours. The fight was solid. they sent in caps as did I and we were sending in subcaps trying to get a one up. That one up came when I was supported by a fleet of Domis being replaced at a rather high rate.

The fight was consistent for the duration and around the 01:40:00 mark into the fight, they started to try and run while I picked off their ships until they finished off the remainder of my hics.

Then the issue set in. I resupplied my fleet and go them into position along with my Allie while he rebuilt. I set to jump into the hostile system next door and.....*crash* I was not upset at all but the game seems to easily become bogged down with larger fleets. my personal PC is setup and usually have no issues and with closing in on over 80 hours logged on this last update to the mod this is the only time I crashed with a large fleet of any kind as I have done much larger fights.

-----

The subcap warfare is really solid I had no real issues with it, though it would be nice if they would actually engage the pointed target when specified. I notice sometimes they will and others they will ignore it and shoot whoever they want.

----

Also while the faction hulls (vindicator and bhall) can only be obtained via artifacts it would be nice if they still had to be researched in the combat section. not much of a big deal but early game when the enemy is on unfair and seeding vindis in the first fifteen to twenty minutes in the game when you'rre working on your logi and caps they just wipe through your forces, or so in my experiences.

Im down for some multiplayer some time if you want. can help you out, besides some good fun to be had >:D

if not, well

I usually explore early on. running through with multiple scouts on auto explore to find where I can settle faster. making a fleet with the rorqual and makign a small frigate fleet.

personally I go industry first as with a bigger industry you can pump out larger fleets faster. though you can go military first. either way the faster you can expand and get a decent economy and defences up, the faster you can take the fight to them. also, jump bridges are NOT to be taken lighly they are the best thing you can use for on the defensive or even getting to their space faster (4 military tech centers required) also, destroy the enmy jump bridges if you can. it will slow their reinforcements down giving you more time to take down what they have. :) pm me if you have any other questions. :)
