We've got more in store for you, there are some nice features HL2: Episode 2 brought in, which are making their way into the mod.

We're also revamping computers a bit, I'm not much a fan of the command-only computers - HL2 has a nice interface system, and we plan to use that instead (use your mouse rather than being restricted to typing everything.)

I haven't seen the coder or mapper online in a long time ... college took over their life.

I'm still working on this mod - Master Blasters is currently on hold.

However, I didn't create many of the maps in Master Blasters (only Moontop and Pirates), so the praise you granted me was probably undeserved :P

I've had a few new ideas regarding the mod, and the fact everyone kept trying to get into Cabin 1 by replacing the canister ...

Sorry, I haven't been working on the mod for a while, it's been backlogged whilst I work on Master Blasters ( Moddb.com )

I'll begin work on it again soon, I'm anxious to get back into some optimizable levels that use the Source engine how it's supposed to be used.

See this note down the bottom-
Just remember everyone, that the current availible download is a Tech Demo Alpha.

It contains a partially created level, mostly for the purpose of displaying my In-Game HTML Screens.

Sure, it's the current story I'm working on, but note that the level is SMALL, and has no enemies or traps yet.

Don't be expecting much in the way of a game yet, that's still a long way off, but please be patient!

Sorry about that, the only traffic I'd been getting to my forums was spam for the last few weeks, so I hacked at my scripts to confuse the bots.
One of the changes I made stopped registering from working, but it's now fixed :)

That picture is a bit misleading ;)

What happened is that a part of the ship exploded, which produces a much larger explosion flash than just the normal cannonball shooting back and forth stuff.

Sorry about the blockyness, the map took me forever even with that low amount of detail and I needed to move onto the tutorial map.
One of the problems is that most of the curvyness is beneath the water...but due to the reflections, you can't see it ;)

When you signed up I didn't have the forums set to require activation, so you should be able to log right in :)

We didn't create any custom entities for the mod, therefore no FGD file is required.

Take a look at the maps\Mapping_Tips folder, there is a guide to making levels there, and a little tutorial on getting the mod to show up in the list of mods in the Source SDK.

Regarding the errors, you'll have to give us more output. Check the forums at Thedaedalus.net and explain the error in detail.

Regarding the map you didnt die in, please tell us WHICH map it was, and where it was you didn't die.
If it was mb_EgyptArena then don't worry, that isn't an instant death.

Grayjamn should be posting up a news item soon enough, but I thought I'd let everyone know - a server patch has been released, fixing a major bug that prevented people from joining and crashed dedicated servers.

The information on my website is the short of it, using the SDK download.

If there are any problems getting that to work, checkout the full tutorial at Developer.valvesoftware.com .

The SDK download contains the source files there for you already, so that step is made easier.

There are a few main steps:
* Add EntHTML.cpp to your Everything_SDK-200x.sln, under vgui_controls
* Add EntHTML.h to your src\public and src\public\vgui_controls folders
* Recompile the vgui_controls project

* Add the HTMLView.cpp and IHTMLView.h files to the Game_HL2-200x.sln, under Client.
* Modify vgui_int as specified on W.thedaedalus.net
* Recompile the solution (mainly for the Client project, but the Server project needs to be there too.)

So we have one Valve file edited, and 4 custom files added to projects. Nothing else is changed.

The link to the wiki article at the top of this post explains how to add the screens into the world, and contains the same sample map that is distributed with the mod.

I hope this covers it enough to let people understand how to add it to their own mod :)

Hrm, there wasn't any Public Alpha option :P

Anyway, there IS a download availible. I actually forgot to post the link to it here, there is a link on the Valve Developer Wiki that I have to update now too.

The latest release can always be found on my site at W.thedaedalus.net

As for mappers, anyone is welcome to join in.

I'm going to make this open source. Anyone who wants to map for it can do so. They will get a chapter in the mod devoted to their level(s).

Yeh, we've had a lot of mixed feedback on this.

Some love it, some don't care, and others hate it. I'm the guy that did them, so I guess direct your annoyance at me :P

We are going be releasing replacements sounds that will be the default - the arnie sounds will be an option you can turn on if you wish.
