I'm a mod and indie game developer. I've released a few StarCraft mods and now I'm working hard to finally create an Indie 3D First Person Shooter :)
Good points, thank you!!
Just to ask the question: Someone thinks we shuold stick with the given design?
Thanks for your honest feedback and critics!!
I'll consider it.
Looks cool! I just wanted to let you know I'm tracking this game... but I alrady do... :)
ah, damn... posted as guest accidently... sorry :)
Looks good! Thumbs up!
The particles look cool. They maybe could use some more lighting (so they are even a little brighter), but that's up to you.
But the ship models appear pretty fuzzy even on 1080p in the video. Might be an issue of lighting as well, and/or textures.
Thank you guys! Just... thank you!
Really a fantastic mod! Great work!
But is there no other host for the maps available apart of Mega? Mega does not work for me so I'm pretty disappointed I cannot download the map pack...
I tried the demo. Since I am a native German speaker, I tested the German loca - it *hurt* my mind! Don't use automatic translators! I tried to go back to English in order to understand the texts but that's not possible. So I re-installed the game and played the first two levels (in English). While I was pretty successful (I guess), it still felt like being overrun all of the time, pretty frustrating. That's where I quit the game. I liked the graphics, though.
I'm not a casual gamer, but this looks pretty interesting. I hope it has a good tutorial :)
Anyway, you got your first follower ;)
Uzi idiot really creates awesome shaders!
These are temporary displays of what resources the engine makes use of. They won't appear in the final game.
I'm playing this mod from time to time, so I'm really looking forward to getting hand on the new maps!
Thanks man, and thanks for the feature!!
Great to work with you!
He's the voice of Corporal Trask from our first demo, ladies and gents, and he'll probably be voice actor in the upcoming 'Silent Assault' as well! :)
They are for cutscences in the first place.
Nice one! Short but enjoyable.
I am the developer of this mod and I'm saying you *do* need Brood War version 1.10 to play :)
News without any relevant content. Congratulations.
Always this more-advanced-engine stuff... :)
As if it wasn't hard enough for single hobby developers to realize something like this on small engines!
Good job! Sad to hear it won't be released, looks damn good, man!
Both. We will mainly use animations, but there will be ragdoll physics where it makes sense (uneven ground).
Yeah, of course, highly appreciated!
Yeah, I see. The issue is that the model is a little bulky which looks quite okay as it is (to me), but as soon as you add the little light dots, it's getting pretty obvious and just doesn't look good in the end.
Weapons from AAA titles are highly detailed in texture and mesh (especially around the parts of the light dots), that makes the light dots look good. They just didn't look good on the otherwise flat weapon surface here.
They will definitely be used for space cutscenes and probably as NPC vehicles. We might even make them drivable, depends on the planned scale of the full game project which varies from time to time (we're still focussing on developing another demo release so far).
Thanks for your comment(s)! :)
Thanks man! :)
Are you crazy??
Thanks a lot man :)
Glad to see the new shots are brighter!
Looks good, well done :)
It didn't work out too well. The weapon model is a little too bulky for lights to look right on it. Just to let you know the result :)
I totally agree! Would love to try a demo!
~edit~ Found a demo on your website. Why hide it there? ;)
Cool trailer :)
Hi Leon, I sure remember transferring very detailed feedback points from your PM to my to-do-list :)
The decision to deny that different rooms are accessable depending on the chosen difficulty level was not based on the hard work (wouldn't be such a big deal here) but we wanted the game to remain the same for all players, not matter how experienced they are with the FPS genre.
More enemies is a good option indeed. We will use it, but very smoothly only in order to keep the framerate up for the insane guys ;)
Thanks for your support, man!
I'll give it a try.
I tried the demo. This is a really cool platformer that feels great. The controls could use a little more precision. And I disliked the unmelodic soundtrack. Nevertheless, Great work!
It's alright. You mentioned a good point. We plan to have characters with faces in the full game, but not in the coming demo.
The screenshots and the teaser are taken from a test level we created especially for testing the new features, mainly to challenge the new AI to handle certain situations. We didn't have the time to focus on new environment media so far.
Thanks for your support! :)
A matter of perspective ;)
Title has been fixed, thanks.
All warfare is based on deception :)
Looks good, love the lighting!
Thanks, we'll be doing our best! :)
Yeah, nice ideas :D
Happy Aprils Fools ;)
Passing lights is a good title in my view.
Love the character concept.
Well, good question :)
Would love to see an entertaining deathmatch or duel mode later, it is on our agenda of possibilities. However, for the moment, we focus on creating a single player experience in the first place.
Well, more than 1 minute showing the same room over and over? ;)
Next news post will answer this question ;)
It partly indeed looks like a full remake of micro machines! Interesting idea!
However, I personally dislike the sound effects :)
Hehe, yeah, already found your comment over there :)
No, we won't release anything about Xarelok, we cancelled it for quality reasons. So that hasn't changed. We will simply archieve this profile.
Hmmmm... looking very good so far.
I'm interested to see where this is going, so - tracking ;)
Nice work :)
I'd recommend daring to add a little more colour to the environment (maybe it's a little green overall?). Keep it up!
Congrats, good progress!
The dirt particles should be brighter in my oppinion, keep it up! :)
I'm quite impressed by your work!
Keep it up!
Thanks a lot, Leon!
We thought about releasing what we've got, but the thing is: There was too much left on the to-do-list even for the first levels like voice acting and story elements that would make such a release nothing else but a rather bitter gameplay experience without levels that really make sense, as you sometimes really don't understand what's happening.
We will probably launch a new project soon, we'll stick with FPSC (sorry), but use the latest engine version that allows post processing effects, ragdoll and much more. However, I've learned from this not to make any further promieses :(
Once again, for your interest: Thanks a lot!
Only very minimalistic ;)
The spider looks really awesome!
Keep it up!
Good to read. Thanks!
Nice work! =)
Omg... a "few details"? =)
Quite impressive =)
Ehm, no, sorry to disappoint you, didn't mean to cause confusion: Only enemy soldiers can drive the Hoverbike, the player is not able to do that.
Thank you very much!
The standard FPSC menu isn't exactly your work, is it? Why post it here?
I think it's a little dark. Maybe brighten it up slightly ;)
Yes, exactly :)
Nice one! =)
Nice to see your media on your profile here.
And cool new trailer... fantastic work - as always!! :)
You honestly upload the standard loading screen?? ^^
Played it, really lovely!! *Two thumbs up*
I'd prefer having the ability to change the gravity also while in air by jumping (pressing first spacebar, and the W).
Yes, we're using FPSC, with a source code modification!
Glad to hear that part ;)
Hehehe... I had to look at it twice to understand, but now I can see 'him' as well. =)
Nice. You got me tracking =)
The engine is really custom built?
I hope the gameplay will make a good impression - because your screenshots do! Tracking ;)
Cool. Nice idea!
Going to download.
I checked your website, the game looks nice so far. Tracking.
You could add some more info here!
Agreed, the texture appears too noisy to me.
Was thinking again. Correcting my own answer... there are also mines, miners and a superior government. But that's already it, I guess.
Ok, suggestions? :)
I'd prefer better ship textures, with metal elements, not just bare painting, though.
You really wanna play at 10 fps?? ^^
Happy aprils fools' day :)
I totally agree with every point... well, happy aprils fools' day ;p
Indeed the perfect version for beginners and small groups compared to the full document!!
Lots of work you put in these templates, thanks :)
None of us has ever played that title.... stopping by at the ModDB profile, I'd agree the setting is similar :)
The scene as a whole also reminds me of Donkey Kong Racing... :)
Well same engine after all :)
Looks good, agreed.
Looks like belonging to 'Sons of Korhal' ;)
Nice model by the way.
One campaign so far. Will be released very soon.
Hehehe... sweet :)
Looks very good anyway :)
I like it! ;-)
I think the colours could use a little more contrast.
Sure, details via PM, please :)
I'm not a fan of turn based strategy games, but graphics and engine look great!! Good work =)
This looks great!!! Cool.
That Crew-System-Thing is a really cool idea!
I see. I know about such problems :)
Great models, good work!
Btw, if possible, maybe add some light effects/sources? I think that would really make a difference.
I agree, my Padawan :p
4 player split-screen-mode :p
Ah I see... never heard of "Ball Revamped" ever before so I couldn't understand.
Ok, nice! I hope you'll make more appealing graphics, now it looks definitely like a pre-alpha version. Nice trailer btw. :)
Your game description says what you do but is not really a description of your game. The screens don't tell much more to me.
I'll be watchting. :)
Looks very nice, fits well :)
Thanks for the compliment :)
I updated the new Hive Ship screens so you should now be able to see something.
Yes, very nice.
Impressive as always :)
Yes of course :p
The game crashes with included shadow.
Well, I still don't have the source code yet, I'll talk to Blizzard about this problem :)
In-between, I'll be working with sub-races, of course.
Very goooooood news =)
Just.... wow.... :)
Lot of colours... how about a little less?
Love it, anyway!
I love it :)
Looks like a lot of action =)
BroodWar Patch 1.10 is required.
Next version will support v. 1.15.1
Try extracting into your StarCraft directory:
you left me a note for StarCraft 1.99 with your e-mail adress, but unfortunately, I recieved a Mail Delivery System error when trying to contact you. Maybe wrong address??
