I can confirm that removing libstdc++.so.6 fixes the issue. Perhaps it needs to ship with a newer version?
I'm using the r600g driver here and the game segfaults complaining of no opengl 2.0, even though r600g advertises 2.1. The solution apparently is to delete some of the libraries it comes with. It would be great if Desura had a version which used your system libraries instead. I'm actually not sure why using bundled libraries would report the wrong version of opengl anyways.
