Why does everyone think i am part of the team. even though it is somewhat flattering, i am not. as far as i know, ASI has its focus on ground troops, though a real focus has not been shown, and i asume that due to their robotic nature, EMP will be a good counter (that is, if there will be a decent EMP defence turret). D51 focus is depending, as you can choose between fright or flight, i am not sure what bonuses "fright" gives, though i asume they will be turtle based. flight gives you the strongest aerial units in the game, and as such, complete air dominance. the Colony will be a rusher army, meaning it will most likely have low costs and no energy need, but generally evolves worse into later tiers than other factions.

In case anyone wonders, ASI will be finished first, then it will most likely be D51, followed by Colony, which is probaly the most intricate faction due to most of its models having a "pulse", needing much more animations for it

i do not. i am not officialy part of the modteam except as a tester, and, if requested, co-writer along with the other testers (meaning that if requested, we will help with thinking up a specific unit). also, i do not even know when the closed alpha get released, let alone a open beta. heck, i doubt anyone can even make a guess about that

seems like my revival of the forum is slowed down a tad. my intention of downloading a newer version of the 3d moddeling program 3ds max will need to lay down for a week or 3, since i have decided to get rid of my old pc and get a good one (unless my father says nay). which makes it a waste of download capacity (i can only download a certain amount each month) to alraedy download 10 giga byte. i might consider posting pictureless ideas though

i personally think that the most difficult part of the mod team designing the campaign that, in order to be in line with the original story, all the campaigns need to intertwine and cannot contradict eachother. and all stories need to give you a feel of winning. i will be impressed if such story lines will be implented

there is no mod yet. it is still a WIP. the Alpha of the first faction might come out this year, optimistacally speaking. and this is a closed alpha, which means only a selected few (among which i hold a spot) users that have been loyal to the project (and for a part, very active on the forum, practically being a 3/4 man brainstorm team for the TS team) for a long time.

no. optimisticaly speaking, an alpha test will be available somewhere near new year. but this is a closed alpha and is only for a handful of loyal followers (i am amongst those). if you want the open beta, that will take very long, but you should feel asured in that your patience will be rewarded

will probaly need a year or so in practice before that, so for a long time i will just create models while making suggestions to give a clear image of my idea. first need to download 3ds max 2012 since 2009 is all trippy on dx 9. after that, i will see. the text between the brackets actually refered to my paint and drawing skills, which are so bad that the only way i can decently envision a 3d design is by the means of 3d models.

1. It is an addon, and there are plans for a new campaign

2. as far as i know, other factions only have the buildings, and D51 has the Super-carrier

and i also encourage the release of a ASI alpha, that way we can assure a more clean beta release, and (if it isnt released purely for the loyal fan core) make the fan core grow again

though i appreciate the offer, the only true skill i posses in which i can help is brainstorming and possibly making the story line. but both can be done externally. i am European anyways and i heard the lot of you are American, so communication would be hard since there is a 8 hour time difference. but i believe Warwolf has my E-mail, so if there is need for brainstorming on a specific topic/unit, just let him send note about it and i will leave my ideas on the forum.

good to hear a word from you guys again. ofcourse RL matters come above the virtual, but people do like a word once in a while to confirm that the mod is going well. new content is not even essential, only something to make us know the mod still has a pulse.

as i stated before, having a mod dead, then revived with the note "we will give an update soon" and then only give silence for the next 2 months, gave me worries. but good to know the mod is still alive and kicking!
