when I tried to install 1.6.5, it just went into the text format, like in notepad thing, and then nothing happens, so I dont know why its not an exe file, plz help me get the right file for it, thanks

hey guys, plz help, I download the 1.65 version but its an installer file for 1.65 and it needs the version before it, so where can I download version 1.6.0.3 ? ...............................coz moddb dont have it no more.
